Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury again says Oleksandr Usyk was an easier foe than expected

When Tyson Fury says that Oleksandr Usyk neither surprised him nor was particularly difficult to fight back in May, it really doesn't matter whether you choose to believe him or not. All that really matters, in fact, is that Tyson Fury has decided to say it, more than once, and that, in saying it, he presumably believes it.

So he expected to get knocked out?

Because Usyk won that fight clearly and nearly stopped him.

Fury hurt Usyk too.... Way more than anybody else. And he should be the betting odds favorite in the rematch.

It was a split decision win, and some had it a draw. You don't base an entire match off one dominant round. Moral victories don't count in Boxing.

It shouldn't have been a split decision and it wasn't a draw. Usyk won 8 rounds and scored a knockdown. It was a clear win.

Fury has been dropped six times in his last nine fights and eight times in his pro career. I really think he might get stopped this time. The drugs, the alcohol, the weight rubber banding, and the punches are adding up.
