  • I still like Prograis. Maybe his best days are behind him, but not all of his good days need be. If he adjusts to his physical limitations at 36 as opposed trying to fight like he is still 26, he can fight for a few more years at a fairly high level. It is a tough thing to do, as boxers tend to be...

  • If it happens, I will be happy to give the props to him. But I see the same DuBois in skill level, just one a tad smarter in the ring. I see nothing he brings to the table over Usyk but power, and seeing how Usyk won basically every round in spite of that, I will back Usyk,

    But hey......

  • I love that the entertaining Ruslan Provodnikov made this list. The guy was not world class in talent, but he made the most of what he had and I swear he was made of granite.

Golovkin, my man Tua, and the criminally underrated Glen Johnson were all great inclusions. A fun list.

  • This is not a hard bunch of dots to connect. Joshua and Wilder can earn big money fighting each other if they both pick up wins. No secret. I keep pointing to Kell Brook and Amir Khan. They were both way past their prime and their fight was way past the sell by date, but everyone involved made good...

  • Yeah, I agree. Let's assume he beats DuBois again. At some point the bigger (and they are ) younger (and they most certainly are) HW's get him. Period. It is not about his hunger, training, dedication, or love of the sport. It is simply that since Usyk moved up from a historic run through a very...

  • It is never when one judge differs with the other two judges that people get upset. Judges have differing angles from different parts of the ring, often have have a portion of the action blocked by the angle of the fighters or the referee, and often have a different set of criteria than others (like...

  • Such is the Boxing Hall of Fame. No, Wilder should not get in. His resume is losses to his best competition and his wins are propped up by Luis Ortiz of all people. But you would probably win more money betting he does get in than he won't....

  • Bivol and Beterbiev will both get in. Their resumes are fine for this era, they split a very competitive series and each had undisputed, Beterbiev had that amazing KO streak and Bivol beat Canelo going away.

Oh... and the Boxing Hall of Fame requires fighters get in every year as opposed...

  • I mean... sure. Why not at this point? It will be a fine undercard addition to another fight. Not like the IBF is making things up as they go or anything....

  • You know, you would think in this day and age of streaming services fighting for content, starting a boxing promotion from the ground up would be easier than back in the 80's, 90's or the early part of the Century when media was a ton more narrow. But it sure seems like it is the opposite.

  • As a kid, Leonard was what drew me to boxing. I didn't even know "Sugar" was not his and his alone. I must have been early teens before someone educated me on Sugar Ray Robinson.

To which I brilliantly followed up with the question "Does Sugar Ray Leonard know about this...

  • Man, people can forget what a rock star- and warrior- De La Hoya was because of disliking him now. But he was huge at this time. I knew of Mosley, but I did not follow boxing as close so I was jaw dropping surprised by the Mosley win. I truly felt no one moving up in divisions would be able to outwork...

  • As a fan of Munguia.... I am very, very bummed. But He failed, and I hope the suspension is lengthy and the verdict moved to a no-contest. Even if he can prove some sort of incidental contamination (and I have zero idea how you can "prove" that), this is a combat sport and drugs have to...
