"I didn’t hear anything about him being boring when he fought (Guillermo) Rigondeaux. He barely even touched Rigondeaux. He barely landed any punches on Rigondeaux, but nobody claims he was boring"

If you don’t want to be mentioned in same sentence as Pernell, RJJ, Floyd, Bud, and Tank, keep doing what you’re doing!!!

I watched all of Andre Wards fights , I don't recall him being boring. I was impressed by how Andre was able to utilize any style necessary to win. He's probably the most versatile fighter that I have ever seen and I don't remember being bored by him.

If you're boring , I'll still watch you because I love the fights , but I'm not paying for it and will complain that you are boring. Shakur , if everyone is saying that you are boring them , maybe you should listen to what they're saying and change up. Or stay boring and take the criticism like a man. Nobody has ever died from words. If you want to be a big star , I'll tell you how to do that. It starts with GIVING THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT. If you're not willing to do that , that's fine , but why whine about it when it's your choice to be lame.
Very true. A prime Leonard and a 140-pound Mayweather were absolutely electrifying, as was Jones. I just think Shakur needs to close the show when his skills are far superior than his opponent. He should just light a dude up and excite the crowd. Till he does that, his fights will all appear the same.

It is true that many young black fighters are discriminated against in many arenas of life, but people recognize who is an entertaining fighter and who is a boring fighter irrespective of race or ethnicity. Tank is an exciting fighter and Shakur is a boring fighter...period. In their heyday, Andre Ward, was a brilliant but boring fighter and Roy Jones Jr. was a brilliant fighter and excitement personified. No, discrimination is the reason Shakur and Ward are considered boring fighters. They really are.

I am African American and I find this dude extremely boring. It doesn't have a damn thing to do with race. It's a shame Shakur pulled out the race card when it isn't needed or relevant to him being a boring fighter. Shakur has no charisma, no power and is too defensive minded in the ring. He doesn't take enough risks in the ring. Shakur is starting to sound like a male Clarissa Shields with all of his whinning. If he were knocking guys out, then no one would be complaining about him being so boring. If he wants to see exciting, pull up fights with Sugar Ray Leonard, Tyson, Holyfield, early Mayweather Jr. Pacquaio, Hopkins, etc. Shakur reminds me of a modern day Chris Byrd who was also a stinker during his time.

To be fair regarding his fight with Delos Santos, the Dominican was just as boring in that fight. Shakie steps forward, Santos steps backward; Santos steps forward, Shakie steps backward. Repeat and rinse. They're both terrified to get hit. When they do move forward aggressively, it's in a way just to invite a clinch. Maybe we need a different ref in such types of fights and just let them fight on a clinch, wrestle and break themselves apart. They get paid to entertain, not to do nothing.

I'll give a good example. If we had a poll in one year asking the fans who they would prefer to watch, I would bet Abdullah Mason would be preferred entertainment, at least if he wins a title, maybe even now - over Stevenson. He is electrifying.
