Tapales landed what he was able to because Inoue was willing to stand and trade with him. And Inoue backed off when he had him hurt several times.

This was a ridiculously easy fight for Inoue. Playing with his food.

I don't think he was playing with his food, but I'm getting the impression that for possiblo the first time in his career Inoue was more focused on making history over defeating the opponent if it makes sense.

Inoue had to pull a lot more tools out this fight. Saw a lot more varied defensive skills we usually don't see from Inoue, and Inoue was having to use shifts and step arounds to get angles to land offense. Tapales landed some great shots on Inoue too. Credit to Tapales for making Inoue have to pull into the more advanced skills. Inoue has such a complete toolbox that he's able to make those adjustments though. Amazing fighter.

Also amazing that some posters can't see the difference and recognize that Inoue had to fight a different fight for only maybe the second time in his career. Some people really don't know anything about boxing.

Calm down…despite being the same height, Pacquiao is an 8 division world champion vs. 4 divisions for Inoue. Therefore, he still has some way to go before reaching Pacquiao’s level of greatness.
