But Tapales made some adjustments and at least attempted to make Inoue work for it. I am not sure, but I think I saw Inoue break into an actual sweat around round 7. Not a ton of people get to say that.Hitmon likes this.

Tapales was underrated. He switched up. Made adjustments. Attacked Inoue at multiple levels. He got kod by an ATG.The Big Dunn likes this.

The main thing stopping Inoue from being a megastar is the lack of name opposition in the lower weight classes. There’s no Barrera, Morales, Hamed , Marquez, etc for him to build his legacy off of. He’ll likely retire with Donaire being the biggest name on his resume.

I want to give credit to Tapales once again. Tough as a mf and able to make adjustments in the ring. The Filipinos keep talking about cashimero this cashimero that but they had a better fighter to cheer for all along. I wonder what would have happened if he fought Fulton instead of Inoue. First Pinoy undisputed champion?
