Good fight, but Tapales was a 20/1 underdog for a reason and arguably lost his last fight. I’d say there’s definitely better and bigger fights at featherweight

Tapales was just trying to finish on decision.

Low stance, high guard, weight on back foot.. only looking for counters.

I feel like that's becoming a common tactic for most Inoue opponents. First Butler, now Tapales.

Definitely not exposed . But Tapales deserves credit. The uppercuts early, switching styles, the body work. He made Inoue raise his level.

Of course Inoue is an ATG so he handled it.

Tapales was underrated. He switched up. Made adjustments. Attacked Inoue at multiple levels. He got kod by an ATG.
Ironically, if anything this loss against Inoue might have raised his reputation more than when he got the SD win against MJ.

I for one definitely respect and appreciate his effort.

At this point, he done outshined Pacquiao as the Greatest Asian boxer of all time, no doubt

He never even got out of first gear. He didn't raise his level at all on this fight, he got hit for no reason clowning out there with a guy he could have stopped early.

Tapales is a tough guy but this isn't even close to a tough fight.

Agree 100%. Tapales best just wasn’t good enough for Inoue. No shame in that.

He doesn't have any of the signature wins like Pac had. I don't think there is anyone at 122 or 126 that do it for him either unfortunately
