Usyk struggled with chazz Witherspoon too. Joshua isn’t good, he hasn’t looked good since coming back and beating wlad. That’s what you get from overhyping average fighters from the get go.
Wild how Usyk's hardest fights seem to end with the opponent quitting.

Usyk’s reaction sold it if he was faking it
Watching replays you could make a point and say he might of clipped his ball sack coming up
But the story is how bad Dubois looked from the get go and I believe you are right saying Joyce took his soul
Another thing though is Usyk should of been fighting the way he did after the knockdown from the get go
All I’ll say is I’ve witnessed much worse calls that this one
Also I believe Pabon should be investigated for his uttermost disgusting way of handling the aftermath from the knockdown

That's not how it works.
Similarities: A big, powerful British HW ran out of gas in a world title fight after doing well early on and stumbled to his knees after taking a shot to the head that probably wouldn't have bothered him too much if he'd still been fresh.
Differences: One guy stayed on his knees after going down and allowed the ref to count him out. The other dragged himself up at the count of 8 and nodded his head when the ref asked him if he wanted to box on.
What do you think, mate?

My instinctive reaction was - woah ... WTF happened there? Rather than wow .. great body shot!Last edited by kafkod; 08-27-2023, 08:50 AM.BustedKnuckles likes this.

I don't even know the rules but the blow looked like half his glove was below the bottom of the trunk lining. regardless, I think Usyk got hit on the cup... Again I don't know the rules... But it looked like Usyk had his trunks normal height, his body reaction showed a cup shot. You can see how a body shot, a liver shot, a cup shot, all have different reactions.
I guess the question would be if getting hit on the cup in and of itself is a low blow? Or if one can hit half on, half below, the trunk line.

. That said, had it been a knockdown and Usyk had seen a count, he likely would have gotten up. He was playing it up.
Dubois sucks. He said he was going to rough him up and take it to him, he looked like a scared fighter for much of the fight. He didn't get hurt by those last punches, he quit because he was totally gassed.
I'm going to go ahead and say that a 6'7 260 pound guy that boxes ten times better than Dubois, has an incredibly high ring IQ, and a ******ed punch resistace....as well as being the only guy to stop Wilder.....yeah, he will **** Usyk up.
Personally, I dont think Usyk looked as good in this one. Physique and footwork. Seemed to be taking some deep breaths even by second round. Maybe Im wrong, but he looked less accurate too.
