Seriously, why don’t fighters work with Teddy Atlas anymore? I think he would do wonders with Joshua, Ruiz, and even Dubois. He helped Michael moorer be champ (a mess). He’s great for head cases from the school of legendary heavyweight head shrinkers, Cus D’Amato.

Ysyk was saved imo. Thought it was right on the line, especially w/his shorts covering his torso/solar plexus/bellybutton area.

        Dubois was robbed

Daniel Dubois actually knocked out Oleksandr Usyk in the 5th round, but the referee wrongfully called it a low blow.

I thought the punch was on the belt or maybe just slightly below the belt. The more I watch it, the more it looks just slightly below the belt but I wouldn't have argued if the ref had called it a knockdown. It's really a close call. Usyk was very hurt, so I thought he wouldn't be able to recover from that. It looked like Dubois had gained the upper hand by a huge margin. It took a lot of mental fortitude and a very high level of fitness to come back from that. The better fighter won but those of you who diss Dubios don't know what you're watching when it comes to boxing. You guys should go back to watching WWF.

I thought Dubois just barely beat the count on the final knockdown but looking back at the replay I saw that he didn't even dispute the ref's decision to stop the fight, so there's not much I can harp on about that. He could have been more hurt than it appeared or maybe he was just too overwhelmed and not thinking clearly.

I think Usyk still looked good. He's actually quite an offensive buzzsaw. His methodology is to make the bigger guys fight constantly, throw their ammo and make them miss as he picks them off and wears them down. I think he hits harder than most give him credit for, also.

The shot that dropped Usyk could have been called either way. His shorts weren't that high so I have no real issue with a punch to the belt being called low. He definitely had an aversion to body shots tho.

As soon as I saw Pabon was the ref, I suspected he would make himself part of the fight ans not in a good way.

DuBois looked powerful but he doesn't react well to adversity or getting hit. Even early when Usyk landed to his face, his body seemed to buckle (even allowing for the wet canvas).

Usyk is susceptible to the body attack but I'm not sure you can take the performance tonight and extrapolate how he'd do against the likes of Fury or even Wilder.

Usyk was not going to lose this fight either way... The ref and judges would bail him out anyway. This entire thing was a propaganda stunt and I feel bad for Usyk being used that way himself.

In any case, Fury mauls Usyk.... videos were leaking about Usyk getting knocked down in training camp and Dubois just showed exactly what to do.

Feel bad for the kid, but he also did not take the opportunity to close it... even after the 5 minutes Usyk got to recuperate.

Dubois was outclassed, as expected. There's no shame in that when you're a young contender facing one of the best of this era.

What was a shame: the suddenly vulnerable Usyk had to be protected. With a Fury megafight on the horizon, what else do you expect? In Poland, with loads of Ukrainians in the crowd, no going off-script was going to be allowed.

The sport of kings. . . So, how did the court jesters get put in charge?

The replay showed that more than half of the glove landed below the belt, a clear low blow.
                      I don't understand the controversy
