The lack of respect Loma fans show Lopez is mind boggling Not only did Lopez beat LOMA but he made a highly skilled , fully programmed matrix who if we count his amateur fights has had over 415 bouts, basically Freeze for 6 rounds. A fighter that has seen every type of style there is, not have an answer to a relative novice like Teo. Name me a unified lightweight champion in history throw as little punches as Loma threw in 6 rounds? yet Teo 's win was a fluke? Its for that reason you should continue to allow all LOMA fans panties to bleed . Let them finish there period and revisit them in a year or so when they finish whining.

Go and chase greatness young man. If you beat Loma again they will only say he is now old or hasn't fully recovered or his legs were dislocated a month prior. There are bigger fights out there that you will be remembered for. These Loma fans will vanish in a few years just like Kovalev fans.... Look at them scowling as they read these words

I'm not usually into rematches happening purely because the underdog won, but in this instance I think it would have been the best thing for the sport, and there was enough doubt there to make the rematch interesting because Loma was weirdly inactive early on and gave rounds away before waking up in the first fight. Lopez just outright shutting the rematch down is sad.

I'm not a l omo fan at all but I don't see why fans don't want to see 2 of the best fight again. I'm not saying it was a fluke win but it might be an off night for lomo, 1 fight don't always tell story it's just first chapter in story, rather than beginning, middle and end. I mean SR R fighting lamotta a 5 times what's that all about?
if lopez don't want a rematch that's fine but id like lopez to fight someone better than lomo then

Better than Lomo probably not, but will fight every minute of every round, definitely. Haney,Taylor, Garcia, tank are all fights that i would prefer to see, will also pay more than fighting Loma both commercially in regards to Tank and Garcia and belt wise in regards to Haney and Taylor.

But I think the first option for Haney is Jo Jo. Nobody is committing here and its certainly dragging on. But the biggest travesty in this division is, there's a WBC champ there and nobody wants to fight him.
Jo Jo is following Marching Orders from GBP, and in his case, with KingRy being such a big attraction, I get it! As for Commey & Dibella, I think it's better to try to get that belt, then fight Loma, rather than fighting Loma without a title on the line! I think Commey also has a better chance to beat Haney than Lomachenko! Commey has a decent chance to beat Loma too, because he's just as strong as Teofimo and Salido. However, I wouldn't trust Bob and the judges! Bob is more interested in seeing Loma as a Champion! Loma is his baby, Commey is just a stepchild!

The Jo jo vs Garcia fight is actually imo a really good fight. But if they're not willing to challenge for the title, then they shouldn't be messing around with interim belts and eliminators. It's just wrong and its costing them sanctioning fees into the bargain, so how does that make sense for them. Just fight each other and let someone else fight for the mandatory. Someone whose actually willing to go on and fight for the title. Everything you said about Commey is spot on. I read somewhere that Commey believed it should have been him to get ordered to fight Fortuna. If that is the case then that would have made more sense for all concerned.

The nerve of boxing fans criticising Dana White for monopolising his fighters and then crying when **** like this happens.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dana....UFC fighter refuses the most financially lucrative and fan-friendly fight....stripped and GTFO!

Commey did really well against Robert Easter Jr. Very close fight. I think Easter hits harder than Haney, so you could be right there. Commey is a fantastic boxer. It's a dangerous fight for Loma, for sure. I think Loma wins but who knows in boxing. You know Loma will win on the scorecards, even if it's close, because of how they always give African boxers the shaft.

But the one fight that I think Commey wants more than any other fight is a rematch against Lopez. I think that loss is the worst for Commey, in Commey's opinion. He didn't like losing to Lopez at all. He'd probably take the rematch for free.

It's pretty obviously the best fight he can get. He can talk about Taylor, but Taylor has no interest in Lopez and would rather fight Crawford. And since he's already talked so much smack about how the other young kids aren't worthy yet, so it's not like he can fight them either, even if they weren't all busy ducking each other.

If he legit thought he could take Loma again, he would jump all over it. Lots of money in his account, and a win would really cement his legacy, since a lot of people think his win was a fluke, and that the reason Loma didn't throw punches for 7 rounds was that he was injured as claimed. Not much offense going to happen without a jab. I think he saw what Loma could do when he did turn it on, and saw what happened to Nakatani, and he's running scared. Even his father wants him to fight Loma again. Now that he's had a taste of being the champ, he's scared. He'll probably end up ducking all the top guys at LW and vacate, then move up and fight Taylor's leavings, while Taylor moves up to take on Crawford and the rest at 147.

I was pretty big on Lopez after he beat Loma, but he's been doing nothing but talking himself out of any of the big fights since then, and for entirely petty reasons. Really diminished the Takeover vibe he had going.
