The human body has a shelf life in boxing and genetics does play some role, but very little in extending it. The only reason why certain boxers can extend their shelf life is supreme high level skills often coupled with a new generation of lesser skilled and lesser dedicated boxers, facts. Floyd always stayed in shape when active, new crop has a season like football. When I was an amateur, it was like Floyd, you were ready to fight on a day's notice, even in the pro's. Hopkins lasted so long because the newer crop blew. Hopkins would have never survived against his original class at his age. Imagine him against Jones 93' when Hopkins was 45 years old.
YDKSAB and only retain molecules of what passes by. I've lived and breathed it, I'm an academic in this sport and if there was a degree system I would have a phd. I'm like EF HUtton, when I speak, you listen and honestly, you should be filling the coffers of my paypal for this masterclass knowledge.
Floyd his entire career came in under weight, one single time when he was 32, out for 2 years he had a weight issue, and you haters will never let it go like he did it all the time. Time for a reality check you h0mo, YDKSAB. Look in the mirror and say the words, IDKSAB.

you can easily shut TS up by saying well then guys like Matthew Hatton and Jose Cotto must be greats too because they did better against canelo then Jacobs, Kova, Smith, bjs etc.
all you need is to take one Look at how canelo looked against those guys to see he was nowhere near his prime yet.

You're the clown claiming a 23 year old is prime when everyone and their dog knows it comes after 25, and anyone who's followed his career knows he's much better now than he was then. The fact that you're such a reprobate and liar about such basic facts shows what a pathetic weasel you are.

People saying that 152 was nothing and it was something Canelo wanted is funny, the guy never fought even at 154 after the fight. The truth is Canelo was a good fighter(champion) but not only was he not prime(His prime began in the second GGG fight imo) he was green at the negotiating table.
Oscar went into rehab the week of the fight, he obviously wasn't in top form when negotiating this fight, the important thing isn't the 2lbs, what people are missing is Canelo weighed in at 172 on the night of the Trout fight.
On the night of the Mayweather fight he weighed in at 165
There is definitely something fishy there, no fighter is going to weigh in 7 pounds less on the day of the fight unless there was some sort of re-hydration clause. It's no surprise that they made Team Canelo sign a NDA when talking about all the terms to the fight and we don't know the penalty's if he had come in over weight. We also don't have all the details, that's probably why Canelo is so confident he would KO Mayweather in the rematch.
I've always said Mayweather is a better business man than he is a fighter, a lot of smoke and mirrors when it comes to his career. He did what he had to do and it was a great learning experience for Canelo. Mayweather would have probably won regardless of the weight, he was P4P #1 in the world and was the favorite.
But to say he beat a prime Canelo is being disingenuous.

Also don’t leave out that Floyd made canelo weigh 152 to get that Floyd edge just like in all his fights.
A prime canelo(which is now)would murder Floyd but they were too far apart in weights for Floyd to ever face a prime canelo.
But ya probably think Matthew Hatton would still go the distance and win rds with this canelo too right????
pathetic how insecure these black Floyd jizzboys are they get wet just thinking of Floyd playing tag. Weak ass bitchasss fighting style.

Sometimes great fighters don't have a definitive prime.
Canelo Alvarez was not some rookie when he fought Mayweather, he already had vast amount of experience 'Plus was unbeaten'.
