How can people say Canelo wasn’t prime at 23 with 43 pro fights..........

    When:
Sugar Ray Leonard at 23 with only 26 fights beat prime Wilfred Benitez

Floyd Mayweather at 23 with only 25 fights beat prime Diego Corrales

Salvador Sanchez at 22 with 43 fights and only 4 amateur fights beat prime Wilfredo Gomez

Alexis Arguello at 22 with 40 fights knocked out Ruben Olivares

George Foreman at 24 with 38 fights knocked out prime Joe Frazier

Muhammad Ali at 22 with only 19 fights knocked out Sonny Liston

Mike Tyson at age 20 became Heavyweight Champion of the World

    THAT, is greatness.

Canelo fought a 36 year old Floyd who was 15+lbs lighter than him, and couldn’t win a single round.......

Canelo is a good fighter, but will never be on the level of Ali, Roy Jones, Tyson, Leonard, Duran, Sanchez/Gomez, or May/Pac.

P.S Imagine if Mike Tyson had lost to 36 year old Larry Holmes, and then said “but I was only 21, I was too young........ LOL"

Play along. Canelo is gaining heavy traction, so the Canelo haters aka Floyd slurpers will make such threads pertaining to age 23. We’ve got some fun threads to come for Floyd’s 210lb YouTuber fights, but Floyd wanted 152 when Cotto’s 154 fight predated it.

I am far from a Floyd fan, dummy.

But even I can see Floyd is greater than ginger Nelo.

You just have your head far up ginger Nelo's anus.

          I'm a fan of both
          May came 1st though

It was a legit win for May

May is a special fighter where power is not a problem for him.

          Nelo is right behind him.

          Nelo was not green

Not worried about these agendas. As long as Canelo continues to look good to his retirement then post future articles about his fight with Floyd will have better circumstances. If Canelo is true to his word to continue another 7 years then he could be adding 10+ Champions to his resume along with future Champions. That’s about a 35+ amount of fights since after Floyd. So therefore your question about “prime” with Floyd at 152 is nothing more than rhetorical.

Canelo has had 15 fight since Floyd. Given the minimum amount of fights per year for the next 7 years at a rate of 2 times (May and Sept.), that’s 14. That’s about 29 fights since Floyd. Assuming he doesn’t lose of course.

BUT, if Canelo continues to fight 3 times a year for the next 7 years, that’s 21 fights + 15 since Floyd for a total of 36 fights. Give Margin of error that it’s not always 3 times a year or he might have injury, let’s say 28 fights.

so 28 fights since Floyd and still looking impressive against opposition, nobody will think much of Canelo’s 152 at 23 years of age. He wasn’t prime. The narrative ages like fine whine!

Canelo has improved tremendously since then, he is a complete fighter now. He still has stamina issues but does everything really well.

Neither guy was prime BUT Nelo wasn't green either.
No shame in losing to May.

IMHO, the only version of Nelo that beats May is the 160+ version.

It is not a blight on Nelo's record.

Doesn’t have stamina issues at all imo. He is the best power puncher in the game by preference for the crowd. Most other elites would be tired by the 7th if they tried exerting his technique of power.
