    See above post.

Hopkins fought Calzaghe because he had little place else to go. Calzaghe kept winning and calling him out. 6 years later, Hopkins finally accepted.

Johnson didnt keep winning. He lost to Tarver and Woods. Calzaghe had no reason to fight him after that.

Roy Jones ignored his biggest threat in the LHW division. He also tried to not fight Tarver. I dont think Roy Jones is the best person to use when you're talking about someone who fought everyone.

I wouldnt call getting injured a duck. I wouldnt call constantly maintaining that you want to fight someone a duck. I wouldnt call having an agreement in place to fight someone who then lost a duck.

    But whatever keeps you happy.

Yeah I'm going to believe Roy ducked Darius when the consensus here he wanted nothing to do with Jones after he saw him stop Virgil Hill, yeah whatever. And yeah, Roy fought Tarver...because he was getting under his skin. Reluctance is not important, he fought him, and it was just for the fact he was pissing him off so much. Hopkins fought Joe not because of Calzaghe but because of Hopkins, like Joe is going to make BHOP move his career in his direction for him... get real. Who got in who's face when he finally got on a plane to the States?

Here are the facts. Joe had nothing to say when Johnson beat Roy and Tarver the first time. Then goes on and puts in a provision to face him, even though he'd lost already. Why didn't he just fight him at some point? Floyd did the same thing for Judah just to avoid the bs. They were contracted to fight, he fought him. No conditions.

If Jones had really wanted to fight Dariusz, he would've fought him. Isnt that your logic?

Who ran in that situation? Please. And that link is terrible and does not prove your point. It's Glen chasing after Calzaghe even there. Read Johnson's quotes for goodness sakes.

No one "ran" in this situation. The fight simply didnt come off for several reasons. None of which include either fighter "running" or "ducking".

It proves you wrong.......something Im getting bored of doing. You said Calzaghe didnt mention Jonhson after the Jones win....

"I'd like to fight both Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver, but I'd prefer the Johnson fight right now," said Calzaghe.

"I don't want to get into a war of words. Let's just step in the ring and see who the best is."

Johnson's first-choice bout would be a meeting with WBC and WBA champion Antonio Tarver, but Tarver may have to make a mandatory WBC defence.

"Joe must decide what he wants to do, if he wants to fight I'm here for any body, any time," Johnson told the BBC.

A future fight could've been made right there. All talk from Calzaghe again. The ball was in his court to make this happen. His court. Glen also states as much in the article. The only reason Tarver was first choice was because Cal played games the first time in his estimation, but Joe still had an opportunity to right the wrong. What happened?

Johnson chose to fight Tarver. His first choice.

LOL. I'm done. Thanks for the debate, but it's clear which fighter was playing games here, and now I'm thoroughly convinced that it was a duck by Joe going on after you linked that last piece. There's no excuse. Johnson is practically daring him to make the fight, calling his bluff, and he rightfully assumes nothing will manifest and he goes with the sure thing in Tarver. Funny how Joe doesn't want to make an offer again until it's a middle of the road situation for Glen. Have a good evening, my apologies for becoming hostile in this thread, maybe we'll butt heads in future ones. All in all, this was pretty fun.

You've been proved wrong countless times on this thread yet you're still convinced? Seems strange.

Johnson says he would fight Calzaghe but his first choice was Tarver. The Tarver fight was offered. Johnson accepted. What could Calzaghe do? Nothing.

Proven wrong countless times? Yeah right. I'm supposed to be sold because Joe appears like he wants to fight? So Joe only mentions Johnson's name after Glen states he still wants a taste? That's a reply. He never actually called him out here. A fight was there to be made a 3rd time. It was on Calzaghe, Glen was ready and waiting. Nothing with Tarver was set in stone yet according to the link YOU provided. Joe could've put all of this to bed with something more than words. Again, it was nice chatting with you, good night.
