Do you understand the difference between proper boxing fans (like me) and casual fans (like you). There are more casuals than diehards unfortunately. Calzaghe was unknown to the wider public. Those who knew a thing or two about the sport wouldve realised Calzaghe was superior to Lacy
Originally posted by bsrizpac View PostDumb yanks was your phrase, but of course you'll deny it now.
The Yank boxing writers, 99% of which picked Lacy to destroy Calzaghe, werent exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer. Neither are you.
But Ive met very intelligent Yanks so its not a general thing.

You're saying that he stopped wanting to fight Johnson after Johnson beat Roy. I am saying that, after their planned fight fell apart, Calzaghe did not try to arrange another one. Calzaghe stopped talking about Johnson after relations between their camps turned sour, the win over Roy Jones happened after that.
Originally posted by Haglerwins View Post[sarcasm Let's not mention Johnson anymore though. We have to walk on egg shells in this forum when anyone dares question the GREAT Joe Calzaghe despite Hopkins getting bashed on his greatness to this day despite a richer resume.
/sarcasm
Acting like this forum rates Calzaghe above Hopkins is ******, as all polls on the subject have not reflected that and there is an anti-Calzaghe troll (Daggum) in this thread right now.
I sometimes wonder what forum it is that some of you guys read.
If you are intelligent enough to have a sensible discussion then let's hear it, but if you want to come out with stuff like the above then there are a few hundred posters who are ****** enough to give you a response, so go play with one of them.
Serious discussion or not, up to you.

A bum? But John Ruiz was a beast.

No it wasnt. Im not prejudice against entire nations like you are. Hypocrite.

Have you ever boxed or trained before? Yes we all know you're so smart. Like when you said Joe would beat people at heavyweight. That was a good one. Or Joe was a more complete fighter than Floyd. Another good one.
Also it's "prejudiceD". For a guy who mistakenly claims that his nation "invented" English one would think you'd have a better grasp of it. I'm not aware of any nations I'm prejudiced against, only of biased little dip****s who don't understand jokes, satire or poking fun of people.
Guys like you who pretend to be objective- sad. This is like Pol Pot trying to say that he was a nice guy. At least come correct as to what you are you sad pathetic twerp.

You may not be able to give an inch of lee way or credibility on Calzaghe due to your persistent hatred, but I have no problem with Johnson. Calzaghe wanted the fight but had injuries, regrets it. Johnson said he lost faith and couldn't wait. It's unfortunate all round, that's it.
I don't blame anyone as easy as you may find it on thin info, and just cynicism. IF Joe wasn't injured, or IF Johnson woulda accepted the fight a month later is just that, if's. It's another fight that didn't come off, like many haven't even this year even. Oh well. Get over it.
You can just see him sitting at his computer with blood-shot eyes, frothing at the mouth and gritting his teeth.

I like how you repeated what I said about you yesterday. Cute. I will await the next time you claim I'm "copying your style" whatever that means.
Keep trying to make friends and get them on your side. It's sad but it's all you have.

I suppose another example was Junior Jones-Erik Morales, where a lot of boxing 'experts' apparently felt that Jones was very likely to win. I'm basing that upon what was posted on this board however, so it may be complete BS...
