I think alot of people forget Calzaghe has a very good chin , He may of had the odd flash knockdown ( not many 3 I think ) but I have seen him take some very good shots and carry on fine !!!

If a 43 year old Hopkins can knock him down, I think Roy can too.

If RJJ does come forward we are in for a good fight !!!

that said, roy's fans have got to be pretty nervous too. like you said, this is his shot at redemption. his last one, if you ask me............
No, because Jones has said nothing about retirement after this fight. Calzaghe's final word depends on this. Can you imagine him having to continue his career in search of going out as a champion and a winner? It would be devastating. Much like the Tarver and Johnson fights were for Jones fans. I was totally destroyed after the (second) Tarver fight and in disbelief in the Fedex Forum the night he was KO'd by Johnson. I waited in the seats as people piled out , to make sure my fallen hero would come to his feet. I was damn near in tears @ 25 years old. I know how hard-core Joe Calzaghe fans will feel on Sept 20th.

That's what I've been saying, I don't think Roy Will KO Joe.... and I don't think Joe will KO ROY!! This is a brawl.... JOE will throw MANY PITTY PATS and Jones will be countering with body to the head SHOTS possible egging Joe on to the ropes where I personally think the REAL counter shots will hurt Joe or at least slow him down much

                  Jones easy

Calzaghe will have his moments but he wont outbox or ko Roy Jones. Jones will put Calzaghe on his ass more than once with his speed and power.

it's an interesting statistic but it doesn't tell the whole story.

joe doesn't have the power he used to because of his hand injuries.

Peter Mnfredo is a bum I agree I have no idea why that fight was made. Calzaghes performance against Kessler was far better than against Lacy as Kessler is a far better fighter than Lacy ( who went the distance with Manfredo )
