they let their fists talk ..... (they dont promise to ko someone then run)
they are basically nice guys not irritating whiners .. lolLast edited by Tobi.G; 07-05-2008, 12:59 AM.

Some excerpts from two new mlive articles:
"Even a guy like Jim Lampley, he praises Kelly Pavlik -- who has won some good fights, he beat Jermain Taylor twice, we have to give him credit for that -- but they talk about Kelly Pavlik, a white fighter, like he's the second coming Or they go crazy over Manny Pacquiao. But I'm a black fighter," Mayweather said. "Is it racial? Absolutely. They praise white fighters, they praise Hispanic fighters, whatever. But black fighters, they never praise.
"I've noticed it for a long time but I couldn't say anything because I had to do business with them. I'll still do business with them, but I'm done holding my tongue. I think HBO is great. But their announcers are full of (expletive)."
Mayweather criticized the network's announcers for a bias against black fighters, and for not treating their own indiscretions as seriously as those committed by people they cover, during an exclusive interview with The Press.
"Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, Emanuel Steward, they're always talking about the negative things in my life," Mayweather said. "But I've seen Jim Lampley in the same strip club as me before. They always want to talk about me going to strip clubs, but they don't want to talk about that.
"He caught a court case himself, too. But when they catch a case, all they do is take them off the air a couple weeks, then it's over."
if lamply was TRULY racist wouldnt he be pro white and forget everyone else?
thats not the case...he praises hispanics, blacks, and whites, etc.
just because he doesnt praise MAYWEATHER doesnt mean he's racist.
I think floyd is seriously just seeking attention from the media/fans.

But I think The HBO Announcement team, Are Pretty Fair except for Manny Steward. Manny Steward is MAYWEATHER's most Bias commentator and Critic .... Period...
Jim Lamely and Larry Merchant have called the fights for almost all of Floyd Career..
And They have had their moments, where you can say, they are being to overly critical, and they also had they moments were they give Floyd his respect..
The Problem they have is, They are not balance in their Announcement.
The Hatton fight for example..:
All of them said BEFORE THE FIGHT (On fight night),
- "My heart is for Hatton.."
- but my head says "Mayweather"
What Fair Minded Announcers would say that, right before the fight..
and
you could see they felt that way because during 2/3 of the fight they were making every excuse they could into why Mayweather Could Lose the fight...
They even had Hatton winning 5 Rounds, Some rounds where Mayweather Landed twice as Many Punches then Hatton landed, but they gave the round to Hatton..
Not until the 8th Round when Mayweather show that the knock out was coming did they start saying that Hatton is bring the best out of Mayweather...That's the Problem.... THE HBO crew have no Balance...
Thats the Problem Mayweather Has with them...
IT SEEMS LIKE THEY WANT TO SEE HIM LOSE...
AND IF YOU ARE A FAIR MINDED COMMENTATOR THAT PERCEPTION SHOULD NOT EXIST...
BUT WITH THE HBO CREW IT DOES...
YOU GET THE FEELING THAT THEY WANT TO SEE MAYWEATHER LOSE...
The Point Floyd is Trying to Make is that, The HBO crew Calls His fights recently as if they want him to Lose...
And being the Premiere Boxing Network, They should at Least Have the Perception that they dont care who wins the fight...But they dont...
YOU GET THE FEELING THAT THEY WANT TO SEE MAYWEATHER LOSE...
Thats why He feels it is Racism...Because They do not give off the Perception that they are netural...

Nah, Floyd isn't liked because he isn't likeable. His style, while technically excellent, is defensive and cagey, that is why people say he's boring. Pacquiao and Hatton have massive followings because they are humble guys who the fans can relate to. Neither brag about their wealth, or project any sort of arrogance - they also happen to have much more aggressive, attacking styles. As for HBO racism, it's a laughable accusation, Floyd needs to get more media savvy if he wants to be their golden boy. Most of all, he needs to get over himself.

Yeah i also agree with you, But i think its pretty obvious though that when HBO are calling some of Mayweather fights that they DO want him to lose.
