He is right, they never say good things about Mayweather and Hopkins. Even when Roy Jones was HBO's star, the announce team always said things to downplay accomplishments like "Roy Jones doesnt take risks, he only beats people he knows he can beat"

le me clear up what I meant.......I meant they hate black fighters with big mouths, they are seen as stereotypes, exactly like Ali was in his time. They were real biased for Taylor to beat Hopkins, because Taylor is quiet and Hopkins is a loudmouth, they were calling Taylor a kid but he was 27 years old.

And I agree that Pavlik and Pacman are the most crowd pleasing fighters and they get rightfully praised for that, but they also have all this sucking off for their personal lives, which has nothing at all to do with the sport. Prince Naseem was a straight up **** but HBO loved him. White fighters that talk like Floyd like Hatton and Pazienza are seen as people persons. Roy Jones cleaned out his division at the time, his win as Ruiz was downplayed because he wouldnt fight Lennox Lewis, who was like 40 pounds bigger. I am a Klitschko fan but his style is not crowd pleasing and HBO cant stop praising him. I cant go out and call them racists, but at the very least they are biased.

But the Prince's style was really pleasing, so that was different. Hatton does not talk crap like Floyd. Even tho Hopkins talked a lot he was also really boring and also when he did trash talk people where never annoyed until he got beat soundly by Joe Calzaghe.

what does him throwing money around in the club has to do with his place in boxing ??? he can be an ass al he want outside the ring al he wants that should have a bearing on his boxing career.
If it wasn't for the fact that he won 5 titles in 5 devision I doubt he would have made it to the HOF , and I believe that is his beef with boxing and HBO.

But Prince also ducked all the good fighters until Barerra, his fights in the US got more unimpressive each time. Aturo Gatti got famous because he liked to get his ass beat for the fans, he never beat nobody good. People with big mouths will never be accepted by most, they get there appeal to a segment of fans. I dont think its outright racist and I dont think people should dwell on his comments, he tries to piss people off, but I do think race has something to do with it. I dont think just because someone is rich they should just shut up and get paid.

He got hated on for the De la Hoya fight, DLH has a great chin he only got ko'd by a bigger Hopkins off a lucky body shot. And the fans hated because they love DLH. Nobody really expected a knockout.

Hatton, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Ndou, Corrales were all exciting fights. His only truly boring fight was against Baldomir because let it go to decision and he deserved criticism for that one.

Why are Floyd's fans so paranoid? Fight the best competition around and history will look kindly on you. Lots of great boxers weren't fully appreciated until they retired. But they all were paid.

Ok i take it back, hes not boring. But the main reason people see him fight is cause they want him to lose. Oscar, Gatti, Hatton, Baldomir

The only one fight i think people watched for just the result was the Zab fight, it was fight between of smilar style and physical attributes

Him throwing money around has everything with how people percieve him. People love Pacquiao and Pavlik for the same reasons they did Hagler and hearns. They can relate to somebody who doesn't talk about themselves, their money and their bling all the time, but goes in there and just does the job. They can relate to someone who is supremwly confident, but not arrogant. As far as you doubting he would have made it to the HOF had he not won 5 titles in 5 divisions.......thats a load of crap. floyds talent and what he accomplished just at 130 ensure his induction. People don't like him because he acts like a jerkoff. But no objective boxing fan doubts his talent or accomplishments.

I don't think he even has 70 million in the bank, how could he possibly become a billionaire by the end of the year? I didn't hear him saying that but I wouldn't be surprised if he really said that and most of what he says is only for publicity and doesn't carry any substance.
