Holyfield is a unique and well-rounded fighter. It's kinda crazy that he has wins over Tyson, Bowe and Foreman, but James Toney whooped his ass.

Holyfield no doubt juiced in his career,,,

I have watched every fight, and i think he probably started juicing after bowe 1 or moorer 1.......

Holyfield i do believe was clean during his cruiser run and early heavy run...
But i think he realized he needed to get "bigger" for the truely superheavys like bowe and lewis, so he started juicing, especially after the first bowe fight, when holyfield fought his heart out, but it was not enough to deal with bowe's combination of size and skill set

Or i think it was after the moorer fight, when he was stricken with the heart issues and HEP C...
      Yep..... That's an assessment

What he said after the Lewis fight is silly. Today I'll rewatch the first fight against Moorer.
There were similarities with the Bowe 3 fight, a sudden lack of stamina and strength. Very out of character.

Obviously there were plenty of reasons cited from Hepatitis, possible heart issues, some blamed use of PEDs. All we need to know was that he was back to his athletic best against Tyson.........

Im too lazy to do it atm, but someone compare a photo of Evander from his CW days to a photo of him say when he fought Lennox. Obviously he went from like 190 to 210, but I remember thinking how much more his muscles seemed to pop out at HW, with way more veins and definition. Thats weird as you get older.

Believe he was in his thirties for Bowe Tyson and Lewis

Think he was 41 and in rapid decline, by the time he met Toney

I don't think I've ever seen a world class heavyweight with better definition than Holyfield took into the first Tyson fight.

I agree; Lewis didn't really begin to dominate the division until Emmanuel Stewart had trained him for a while. Lewis had a suspect chin, but a great jab and monster right. He is aslo 6' 5" tall. Stewart taught him to fight tall and use his weapons to keep his opponents at bay until he could land that left right combo. Before Stewart, Holyfield would have decimated Lewis. It's interesting they didn't fight during that time frame.

I've always been impressed with Holyfield's physique. But of course we know, there is talk that he used PEDs. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Either way, he definitely had to put in some hard work to get in that kind of shape, and he always walked around in shape.

So true.. He looked like a mahogany carving for Tyson I, and i thought even more so, for Tyson II

There is no shame in losing to Toney. He is a great fighter....The reason he beat Holyfield is the reason Holyfield is not as great as the "cult of the Bastard Maker" seem to think...Lets look at two crackerjack boxers that fought Holly; michael Moore and james Toney. Holy is great when he can slug it out but a really good boxer could trouble him. Botha got to Holly as well and Ibrigamov beat him, both also boxers.
