It's interesting they didn't fight during that time frame.
Preposterous assumption. Sometimes I think the cult of the bastard maker is in competition with the cult of Mayweather....though not with the cult of Roy (not yet). At no time would Holly decimate Lewis and you know why? Lewis could always box at least a bit better than the bruisers like Bowe and Ruddock. And Holly had some problems with boxers, including Moore, Toney, both of whom could box better than lewis, but you can see the point.

It aggrieves my sensabilities as a Lewis fan, that Lennox had to go through such hell to recieve recognition he deserves....and lewis is and was always better than Holyfield as a heavyweight....and now we have the boys decide once again that Lewis would get decimated. NO just no.

Lewis only lost when he got clumsy and caught because of it. Both guys who did it to him had a bigger punch than Holyfield, and Holyfield had two opportunities to show he could hurt Lewis and everybody thought in the first fight he would teach Lewis a lesson....
he didn't and he wouldn't...not as a cruiserweight, not as a heavyweight at this version, nor that version.... To quote Dr Seus "not on a train, not in a plane..." There is no version of Holly that is better than Lewis! And they fought twice for good measure.

      Exactly.

Exactly. Real fans know that he was finish WAY before the Toney fight. Matter of fact, he was finished after the rematch with Lewis that I thought he won. He out experienced Lewis in the rematch. He also out-hustled him. The Holyfield that fought Tyson twice, hurts James Toney. There's just no way his fat ass goes 12 with that version of Evander. He would've also Ko'ed Larry Donald and Ruiz and Byrd. Smh.

By "real fans" I assume you mean real fanboys. Your comments are 100% optimistic speculation.

I like to think that his physical shape was completely natural, but I have my doubts. I genuinely believe that his religious convictions are genuine, I really don't think that its a façade......but an anabolic steroid user would be greatly at odds from his image as a clean living Christian and world class sportsman.

Everybody has their own level of morality and some are more likely to push the boundaries of what could be considered cheating in professional sports. Anabolic steroids certainly (and rightly) have a stigma as being the substances of cheats. But I'm not convinced that someone like Holyfield would consider the use of human growth hormone, testosterone or even blood doping to be on the same level even if the results of their use speak for themselves.

You know when I have thoughts like the above? I run some bleach through one ear and out the other.

When you consider he was a cruiser, he did great things and showed that size at heavyweight is overrated. Great fighter.

Hes the greatest cruiserweight of all time imo, he almost made it to greatest HW of our era, which is a testament to just how good he is. It kinda tarnished his cruiserweight legacy because he is remembered more as a runner up in the HW division rather than the greatest cruiserweight that has ever lived. I also like his headbutts, and headbutt groin shot simultaneous combo.

He's a uniquely mysterious guy in many ways..
Not that I'm into reality tv shows, but recently, when I heard he was appearing on a program called 'Big Brother'.... Thought I'd take a look...
Placed in living quarters with fellow celebrities, mostly the type I refer to as loveys, he managed to upset all of them lol, but apart from the fact he thinks all gays should be in hospital, gave very little away...
                  Did make me laugh though

I watched that show pretty religiously until he was evicted too. His views on *******uality reflect a lot of what is being preached to him; and as former heavyweight champion of the world, I'd doubt that he'd feel the need to be more outwardly politically correct with his views. I gather that he upset animal lovers by confessing that he once punched his misbehaving horse........

I didn't come across the subject of PED use being approached on the show. I don't doubt that he'd have been well rehearsed by his agent on how to respond (whether he was completely clean or not).

But I'd prefer to think that his training was natural and above board. The guy was a true legend of the ring.

I have no doubt a prime Holy would beat Lewis and stop Wlad.
