Bro, you never noticed you can reasonably guess a fan's generation by their opinions juxtaposed to Ring mag?

Can't teach these old dogs ****.

      I prefer to read writers like;
      Heinz
      Smith
      Cannon
      Pollack
      McIllvanney
      Isenberg
      Kimball
      Gutteridge
      Toledo
      Schulberg
      Dawson
      Corum

      Who span all generations.
The Ring has ebbed and flowed in quality over the years,as most ****zines do.I enjoyed the mythical matchups in KO,and their predictions of forthcoming fights.

        No Dunnellon?!

I'm just playing, I'm sure you could double that list if you wanted to just rattle off good authors.

I was super impressed with Matt's book though.

Don't get how to answer the question but I agree with marg... Tunney. Great fighter who could certainly beat most heavyweights, even those atg heralded, but Tunney was in fact one of the greatest light heavies... Much more so than a great heavyweight.

Lol could we have a list of ATG heavyweights and not have white people mention 180 pound fighters like Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, and Rocky Marciano. 180 pounds isn't a heavyweight anymore which means these guys weren't heavyweights anymore. Goof grief, how hard is that to understand. Joe Louis isn't a ATG because who did he fight? Guys who were considered bums even doing their own time frame and most of the guys Louis fought wouldn't be considered heavyweights by modern standards. Sonny LIston isn't close to being a ATG, Who did he beat? 180 pound Floyd Patterson? That is basically his career. Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson is far more impressive than anything Liston ever did and nobody considers Douglas a ATG.

                  - - Joe fought a good number of 200+ heavies in the 6-3 to 6-6 range, most bigger than Ali's 200+ heavies.

U being Bum oriented are perhaps miscast here. Plenty of alternative social sites preoccupied with the delights of Bums for U. Go for it...yeah!!!

I could have phrased the question better. I left the door to ambiguity wide open. Iron Hammy did not misread the question because it reads both ways, which was a terrible blunder on my part. I should have asked one question not two making one the complement of the other.
