Pretty hilarious how he boxed Tyson silly the whole night, he would faint with perfect footwork luring the rapist in, by this point he already had him off balance after landing a double or even triple jab, and then he would usually land a hard right uppercut and follow up with hooks or a clinch to Stop Tyson's response.
    On that night Douglas would have been a real handful for any heavyweight.

      Douglas fought way over his head and put in an ATG level performance. He had the talent and physical tools to be great, he just never had the desire. Until Tokyo.

        While I don't rate the Klits or any other post Lennox heavies, that shawnkemp account is some next level ish. That's got to be a parody account with its over-the-top posts. This has got to be some kind of troll.

          I would contend one thing on behalf of us honk-ass white boys who don't know **** about boxing. James Douglas is one of the most loved and unstoppable figures in all of white boy boxing fandom. You may have missed it because we don't call the unstoppable juggernaut of jabs "Buster" or even James when we refer to the symphony of mayhem that was his all time best performance. This man is called Tokyo Douglas and let me tell you something brother, ain't no white man worth his privilege would say anything other than Tokyo Douglas is an ATG.

          I thought your perspective was interesting and fair, I hope you continue to post.
          White guys may like Douglas but that is only because they don't like Mike Tyson, Which is funny in itself. They will say Tyson r@ped that woman so he is a bad person and then praise Jake LaMotta for sleeping with a 14 year old girl.

          Also no white guy calls Buster Douglas a ATG for beating a undefeated prime Mike Tyson but Usyk beats Joshua after he got knocked out by Ruiz and then beats crack head Tyson Fury and he is ATG. You know it is because Usyk is white. It Usyk was black none of these white guys would be praising him. They would be calling him racial slurs and saying he is trash.

              Does that make you a size queen?

                Los Alamos had dozens of teams working. Here we are working on something as important--the perennial size question in boxing. We aim to solve it completely. The forum is in a heat of passion for the issue right now. We will have it wrapped in an equation before long, fear not.

                  Tokyo Douglas would beat most of them in history, but only on that single night. Or was Tyson easier than we fathom that night? Maybe some of both.

                    Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare yourselves for a white knuckle thrill ride through the annals of boxing history as we celebrate a true titan of the ring! Wielding fists of adamantium, a chin made of the purest Langfordian granite known to man. He is the man who redefined the sport with one seismic shockwave. A true marvel of agility and precision whose speed and reflexes left opponents dazed and fans in awe. The Dynamite Destroyer, The Iron Melter, The Don King Defiler. Known for his unyielding spirit and lightning-fast jabs, please welcome the indomitable, unstoppable, nonpareil;

                    THIS IS TOKYO DOUGLAS!!!!!

                    From humble beginnings to the pinnacle of pugilistic greatness, Douglas's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the heart of a champion. With each jab and hook, he carved his name into the fabric of boxing folklore, delivering a knockout blow to the doubters and making history in the process.

                    Tokyo Douglas

                      The thing with you is some of the things you say are true

                      but blacks are some of the most racist and deluded fans in 2025. We aren’t living in the civil war era anymore.

                      you are wasting your time beating on a dead horse - most half intelligent people don’t think about race constantly. Even if a white person happens to like Usyk because they identify with a white man - it’s never to the extent where it’s totally clouding ones judgment. Usyk has other qualities that people like besides skin. I don’t think Usyk is very good by the way - this is where I agree with you. Some of these guys aren’t very good. The black fighters today suck just as bad though - don’t forget that. A lot of them fight scared you can see the insecurity just dripping off of them. It was like that in the 70s too - this is how Ali got in their heads so easily.

                      as for Lamotta being a rapist yes he is even worse than Tyson. Lamotta doesn’t give a **** at all he said he and his boys would find girls and take turns on them on a typical Saturday night out. He ****d many women before the word **** was even thrown around. That was then and this is now though. Reading his book I would be positive he killed a few people as well but clearly didn’t put it in the book.

                      same goes for Ruben Carter though. He got bailed out by the media because of the political movements of the time and song writers like Bob Dylan singing bull**** to sway the crowd. Carter was an ice cold killer himself its obvious. The evidence in the court of law wasn’t enough to convinct him no - but common sense would tell you he did the job. Just read up on the case. Then he grinned and lied the rest of his life to the point he believed it himself and hid out in a place like Toronto till his last days
