The officer who trained Chauvin said Chauvin's maneuver was NOT a neck restraint. He said the neck restraint referred to is an MMA Triangle Choke (which they don't even train officers to do). Are you claiming that's what Chauvin performed?

If he was still resisting after being cuffed (he wasn't), they should have used the MRT maneuver that you referred to in which they attach the legs to the waist. Did the officers do that or not?

Let’s never forget how we got here.

A local media outlet posted a story about his death that used the details filed by the police.

The report was so dishonest and misleading that local residents that shot video with their phones posted it online to show what actually happened.

The police officers knew they murdered him, that is why they filed a false report filled with lies.

The fact this even became a national story and movement is a bit of luck.

Sad to see far right leaning posters continue to try and legislate this despite the above. They don’t seem to care one bit that the police blatantly lied and filed a false report about a man dying.

Other than Floyd being poor and black, what reasons are there to defend the cops knowing they filed a false report?

If they had just been honest, this may have never exploded like it did.

Between 1997 and 2005, Floyd served eight jail terms on various charges, including drug possession, theft, and trespass.

He was arrested on drug charges. He was addicted to opioids. He pled guilty to an armed robbery for which he spent years in prison.

Those are the facts. Anyone want to disagree with them?

He did not deserve to die. AND YES, the cop deserved to go to prison by applying what he did for 10 minutes because of his death, and only because of his death. He could have arrested him differently. Taser him? Let us not pretend that if Floyd was fine after the arrest this is not an issue as it is/was.

BUT, he is no longer a problem to society. He was a x college football player, and a thief amd a robber among other things.

Travesty and Bigg Dunn are defending him. Let this case rest. Floyd is no poster boy / innocent man. And he doesn't deserve a statue. Someone ought to put a stone down ( bolted ) with his arrest record next to his statue. Otherwise people will think he is some civil right activist or a saint.
