He was dead at the scene. 30 minutes later the official pronouncement was made. Didn't you read the testimony of the first responders.

A quote from Chavin's employer about his personality when he worked security for her.

Santamaria also told the TV station that Chauvin "had a real short fuse," adding that he often pulled out mace and pepper spray when she thought it was unwarranted.

He's also had numerous complaints filed against him by citizens during his career. 17 complains over 19 years as an officer. That averages out to almost one a year. Obviously in his line of work complaints are inevitable but that number seems high to me.

With the way that the inner-city folk cry foul any time that they are dealt with? It seems low to me, I can't breathe.

And I may be mistaken about the 30 minutes.......Rockin'

It will be interesting to see if the government deems that it was covid that killed him, like the 10,000's of other deaths this year and last year.

If they died, and had covid, chalk another one up to covid, but they were mauled and eaten by bears. Covid..........Rockin'

Wouldn't be surprised. Remember the dude on the motorcycle who died from the crash. Because he had covid in his body, it was covid and not the crash that got him.

But that doesn't fit the narrative so it won't this time.

You can tell they're going away from the covid narrative because Floyd admitted he had covid and yet was out and about with no mask yet no one is mentioning that, so yea covid isn't a topic in this case like it was in many others

That's why they took him out.

              Just saying.
From what I saw, he said so twice while they were grabbing at him. When they took him out, he said, "Thank you."

Are you watching the trial today? It's all about how the knee, handcuffs, being laid prone on the pavement, and the other officers on him affected his breathing. It's actually quite interesting.

1 complaint a year seems pretty low ESPECIALLY for a police officer...

Now if you can't breathe because of other causes aside from chokes, say...... drug overdose then maybe you can still talk.
Depends on the choke Tua... If it is a one point pushing the trachea then yeah... If it not a three point (trachea and cartaroids), or just the carteroids, its hard to tell, except that in any choke that used the blood supply and not just the windpipe... what makes you go out is the change in pressure. Believe it or not, most people don't know this. Yu can restrict blood flow for a bit and stay conscious, you can not get oxygen for some time and not go out... What happens is the body when shocked with the sudden pressure hits a switch in the brain that says "shut down!" something is blowing through the lines! Your body then instinctually will shut down to protect the brain and organs and try to maintain homeostasis.

Now... you can choke a person from the trunk, and this choke the person can exhale, hence speak, but cannot properly take a breath in, hence, they can speak and suffocate. This is exctly why certain postures can kill a person. Just wanted to add: Sometimes it depends on trunk muscles, are they strong enough to draw breath when the body is restricted? Sometimes it depends on how the diaphram is affected, the lungs as well. These chokes can also take time, as a person can be deprived of oxygen for a good while and not be suffocated.
