HENDERSON, Nev. (KSNV) — A man has died after he was struck by a car on Boulder Highway in Henderson Monday morning.
The crash was reported at Sunset Road just around 6:30 a.m., according to Henderson Police.
Officers arrived and learned a 2009 Volkswagen heading north struck a man in a motorized wheelchair while he was moving in the bicycle lane, Officer Katrina Rothmeyer said.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was not injured, but the preliminary investigation indicates impairment and speed are suspected factors, according to Rothmeyer.
Northbound Boulder Highway is expected to be closed for several hours Monday morning for the investigation.

Boulder Highway is kinda like the ****** Strip in Vegas for those who don't know the area. There are several off the strip/"locals" casinos there (Sam's Town, probably the MGM Grand of the ****** Strip, where Floyd does shows from time to time, Boulder's, Arizona Charlie's, Fiesta & several more lesser known/less popular casinos).
