Joining The US Military Has Incredible Perks Later In Life

Serving in the USA Military for four years can help you out tremendously for the rest of your life.

For one, if you decide to go to college afterwards the military covers your tuition.

Second, if you decide to buy a house a VA loan allows you to purchase a home without putting any money down.

Third, If you decide to stay in the military for 20 years and retire in your 40's you'll get a pension of around 50K for life, plus full health benefits.

Im not looking to make a commercial for the military, but for giving 4 years of your life to them from 18-22 might be a price worth to pay for your opportunities later in life.

You can also die in a pointless foreign war. It's a gamble.

Most people in the military don't go off to fight wars. You get paid monthly and sit on your ass playing games while they pay for your housing and education like the dozens of friends I have in all branches of the military right now.

I'd say majority do, I partied with a lot of military veterans in college, and all of them were getting their school paid for by the G.I. bill, and a lot also had $1500-2000 paid to them every month due to some sort of injury that they might've suffered while in service. One guy was shot in the chest and another had his hearing affected from a blast that went off. So yeah there can be a price to pay, but most of them were regular dudes with no indication of PTSD or anything like that.

True but do they end up better off than someone who took another job?

I don't know what happened there, but I know that they were offered the same opportunities. As for the bet, i am not taking any bets.
