What sub genre is that you're talking of?

The darker side of rock, black metal mostly.

            Nah, you like it

Some real intellectual lyrics there. My fav is "We'll meet and I will beat you, our schedules both permitting"

Marilyn Manson doesn't make anything like black metal though lol

Black metal is Scandinavian. The only issue with that genre in the 90s was with the church burnings. But that was localised entirely to Norway.

I mentioned on another thread that much of what passes as Satanic actually isn't when you take the time to listen to the lyrics, but it's the band's imagery and cover art that packages them as such. Iron Maiden was a classic example of that. They quoted book of revelations and had devils on their album covers, but actually listening to the lyrics told a different story. However, if you read the lyrics of Manson walks a fine line. Claims he isn't a Satanist yet quotes Crowley and was friends with Anton LeVay. A member of his church I believe.

If you really want to see a hardcore Satanic band, you can go all the way back the 1960's, a band called Coven. Most of their songs were about devil worship, they actually claim to be the first rock band to use the devil horns sign, even before Ozzy or Dio. One of their songs is an actual Satanic Mass. It's a creepy ass track.

Rap has subgenres too idiot... But you have an agenda
rap is total crap , always sampling other music mostly rock and pop and talking about popping someone , getting a bird up the duff or trying to convince how hard they are with a 22 in there hand.
rap is good when it means something and 99% of the time it’s just bravado ****e

Basically black people invented rap because they couldn’t jump on the bandwagon of liking rock or new wave.
why you think Prince , Michael Jackson , Luther vandross etc stuck with there styles and not rap ...because it’s not tallented music period

I do not anybody that like Marilyn Manson ..he is is not rock he is a freak show ...as for vicious he represented a time when music was angry and changing so it that sense the *** pistols were influential and controversial...I can see why people look up to him because he and the pistols changed the game...but he was ****ed up big time and was not a role model
