Schweinstiger is the one player I would genuinely love Chelsea to have a crack at signing. He would be perfect for us. But then again I think he would be perfect for anyone in England he's made for the premier league. Top, top player.

It would be horrendously suicidal on Guardiolas' part if that were to ever happen. Ribery is the best player in that team imo. It was evident how crucial him and Schwiensteiger are to the team when they lost to Arsenal considering Bayerns' 2 best players weren't playing.

If anyone were to fall out, I'd put money on Robben. Incredibly talented player but is very one dimensional and glory hunts at times when there are better options open.

The net result is that teams that already have a large income coming from things like shirt and memorabilia sales or the disgracefully inequitable television fees enjoyed by Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain will perpetually be "big teams" and no other teams will have the opportunity to create a market for themselves with league success.

Of course this is what Platini wanted all along, a handful of unbeatable and highly lucrative superclubs that he could turn into franchises in a standalone European league.
