Flicker and Starship you happy about an American owning Chelsea?

I'm bias obviously but owning the only London based team that has won everything is a feather in the cap. Marketability wise Chelsea dont do s.hit possibly the drawback of Roman being we only started to hear from him 2 months ago. And even before Russia's invading Ukraine he was ostracized.

Chelsea are THE capital club. Liverpool do incredibly well but nobody is going to Liverpool on their holidays ffs.

What is different about an NFL game for example? I think it might be Boehly's group that were thinking about buying the shopping centre and creating a fan park. I guess they will want to lease the stadium for other events too when they mentioned it being a community stadium

Is a bit different here unfortunately as you still worry about fighting between fans. We couldn't tailgate here without a big punch up.

I'm kind of mixed on it. American sports owners all too frequently use their teams as a source of extra cash or a tax write-off and don't really do anything to put together a winning organization. See the Glazer's and Man U.....

Apparently their is a stipulation that they cant take dividends for a decade. We will see I guess.

Hard to get accurate news on Chelsea because I actually think they are easily the most hated team amongst English press maybe all football press. 95% of the reporting is just bile.

Two days ago it was the end of us because Roman was calling in his debt and was asking for more money.

Then Roman says hang on I've never said that. I've contacted UN delegates to set up a charity which I will then have no involvement with.

So then he gets criticised for using Chelsea as a platform for that statement and criticism about saying where the money would go but then also getting criticism for not explicitly mentioning the Ukraine is said statement he should not have made.

it is pure bile. I would say most people really deserve Chelsea to win the league next 5 season so they can gnash their teeth into bloody stumps.

David Dein a former Arsenal exec gets public support for trying to earmark ?50 mill of this sale for grass roots. A man who tried to develop Chelsea out of existence in the 80's.

Some teams really are sainted and villains. People really need to grow the f.uck up for me.
