Many U.S. athletes have been vaccinated against COVID-19 without any adverse effects. But a conservative outlet has cited a list of supposedly vaccine-injured athletes to claim “there may be something wrong with the vaccine.” There’s no proof that the listed athletes — most of them are actually retired — were harmed by the vaccines.siablo14 likes this.

And you think it's weird those numbers are going up?
I don't.
The demand to play at higher levels is progressively higher each year. You have to be faster and run longer these days than in Cruyff's day. If peak Bale existed for 1970s Wales, they'd have won the Euros. Because peak Bale is that fast, that strong, that good. Free kicks, from range, up close, in the air, good dribbling, faster than anyone playing in 1970, all in a body that is 6 foot plus and built like an ox.
They'd just hoof it to him and he'd convert each time.
Not to mention, these guys are more likely than not, using synthetic drugs to enhance their ability to play. JUST to keep up with the other guys who may be naturally more gifted, stronger, faster, more stamina.... or guys who are also on synthetic drugs.
Just the way it is. So of course, these dudes' hearts are giving out under this sort of stress.
After Eriksen's collapse,I looked back and actually thought "No wonder he was playing like s/hit for Spurs towards the end. His heart probably couldn't allow him to play Pochettino's way anymore."
PED use is if course a possibility with the modern player. But the timing of all the occurrences within the past year or so seems like quite a coincidence, no?

Shame that a player of his stature loses his job just because of voicing his opinion.
