I'm bias obviously but owning the only London based team that has won everything is a feather in the cap. Marketability wise Chelsea dont do s.hit possibly the drawback of Roman being we only started to hear from him 2 months ago. And even before Russia's invading Ukraine he was ostracized.
Chelsea are THE capital club. Liverpool do incredibly well but nobody is going to Liverpool on their holidays ffs.
What is different about an NFL game for example? I think it might be Boehly's group that were thinking about buying the shopping centre and creating a fan park. I guess they will want to lease the stadium for other events too when they mentioned it being a community stadium
Is a bit different here unfortunately as you still worry about fighting between fans. We couldn't tailgate here without a big punch up.
But Boehly was supposedly attending Chelsea games and tried to buy Chelsea long before the witch hunt took place though.
To analyze it however.
He owns chunks of 3 sports teams. The Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, the Los Angeles Lakers who are the greatest basketball team in basketball history, and the women's basketball team Los Angeles Sparx.
All 3 teams spend big, aren't afraid to max out their wage limits for the best players. (Baseball has no wage limit but the Dodgers have the highest bill in the MLB)
So he might just keep Chelsea on that path. But I'm not sure they'd be prepared to make the same kind of turnover this sport has. All the best clubs buy 100 million pound players, they suck, then toss them out the next year or leave them on the team bus. Just chipping away at their contracts.
But my hope is that he will see Liverpool's American owners' success or Man City's success pattern and follow suit.
A smooth line of communication and cooperation from a knowledgeable Director -> manager -> staff -> players -> grass roots and right back up the chain without hitch.

Chelsea got had again.
But the proof is before our eyes.
If Tuchel will take the shackles off, this team will run riot. Lukaku showed flashes of his true level, just required a pass from Pulisic that our midfielders just can't produce consistently.
Same for Timo. Even he looked dangerous with the kind of passing Pulisic provided.
I don't care if he has a pacemaker. If Chelsea want to score goals, buy Christian Eriksen this summer. His passing is Cesc level and we need that desperately. None of the current crop have his vision or passing range.Last edited by F l i c k e r; 05-07-2022, 05:32 PM.

Any thoughts on this?
"This week, we recommend you watch legendary British soccer (European football) player and sports commentator Matthew Le Tissier speak about the many collapsing professional athletes worldwide.
Young, healthy, well-trained players fainting, collapsing, and suffering from cardiac arrest or blood clotting complications—Le Tissier notes that nothing like it had ever occurred in the many years of his professional sports life, nor in that of his colleagues, nor in the observations of sports commentators in the past.
Clearly, the only logical conclusion that the old media could come to was: “This has nothing to do with the vaccines!”
(Wink, wink)
During this exclusive interview with Oracle Films, Le Tissier speaks about his early su****ions and subsequent conclusions, drawn not only from an intimate and inside perspective of the health requirements and risks of athletes and sports clubs, but also from watching the lockstep actions and mandates issued by virtually every nation on the planet.
Clearly, the only logical conclusion that he could come to was: “This has an awful lot to do with the vaccines!”
Matt Le Tissier has, in the meantime, lost his position as a Sky Sports News pundit and was made to step down from being an ambassador for his home club Southampton."

If you wanna watch something check out some Clips of Matt Le Tissier from his playing career.
A very unorthodox, skillful maverick. Scoring some of the best goals you'll see in the early Premier League days.
But because of his unorthodox and sometimes lazy style he was never really picked for England and he never took the step up to a bigger club, preferring to stay at his boyhood club Southampton.
