Well, Trudeau did pledge $2000 for every family to send their child to summer camp.


The idea of sending my child to a camp set up by a political party really comes off as a "Hitler Youth" type thing though...

After covid and infrastructure, I would like to see the Dems address lobbying.

It has gotten utterly ridiculous.

One thing I really didn’t like was ***** filling his cabinet with members of these lobbying firms.

It’s gotten to the point where regular people can’t afford access to their representatives.

I try and tell them that lifer politicians lie for a living.

But they keep on hero-worshipping them and trying to maintain loyalty to those people, such that they make fools of themselves when they have to blindly defend those professional liars.

This is a very idealistic viewpoint but imo unrealistic. It would be nice but the chances are like Seahawks winning the Superbowl.

Instead they will just lay off workers to keep costs down. Management won't sacrifice their profits and salaries for the most part.

Like most things the people on the bottom will suffer. It's unfortunately the way of the world.

Whats really sad, yet telling, is that Johnathan Gruber himself explained this, but then openly laughed at how D voters were just too "******" to get it.

It really is simple; when you raise costs on providers, they simply raise prices on customers. So the providers keep their profits, while the consumers pay more.


The same thing will happen with oil and gas, or should I say the oil and gas production that isn't outright shut down. The new regulations will jack up the costs to the producers, and us consumers will see it at the pump.

Same with electricity prices. As you shut down and over-regulate more and more power plants, prices go up on the consumers of the electricity. And on and on.....

In a perfect world only they would suffer the effects of their uninformed choices. But sadly in the real world we will all feel the negative effects of their ******ity.

Minimum wage of $15 across the board means mass unemployment and incentive to 'employ' illegals in back room deals.

It's a tricky situation but I don't think a flat minimum of $15 is the answer.

I'm fine if you disagree with me. IMO since the cost of living has increased significantly and CEO/management pay has also increased, It's time worker pay increased as well.

It's only the way of the world if people let it be that way.

We just saw Beezos step down because he sees the writing on the wall-that businesses with non unionized workers in these right to work states isn't tenable in the future.

It starts with unions. All the workers at all these companies should unionize .We need idiots to stop whining about unions donating to candidates they don't like. The union serves a greater function-gives workers rights and bargaining power and helps keep wages high.

Then it comes down to us. Don't buy from Amazon. Don't buy from walmart. Use your money to express your dissatisfaction.

You never know what you will get unless you try.
