I have a couple guys who should be turning pro within a year or two. Hopefully the one kid will stay am for a while. He's going to the EU championships in June, World championships in September. If he gets a good draw, wins two fights, to reach the quarterfinals, he's qualified for the Olympics. Alas, that's probably more a dream.... But that would be a great boost, for his career, for the gym, and for me.

I like working with the younger kids too. Seeing them develop over the years, as fighters and as people. Really interesting, when you get a little older. I'm definitely not in this for the money!

Yea yea my pivots and footworks suck.. can't move that good until i heal up... ribs are the worse thing to hurt in boxing.. besides your hand i think.

          what about legs ?

IMO anything happens to you body it will effect you performance alot depending on injurys

but there is alway an expontial improvment you going to get

Is it just me or are you punching up in the attic? Like your jab to me seems a little high up compared to your right when you usually throw it. Other than that and what others had to say, pretty good job.

Aiming a little low with the right hand on a one-two is actually a good thing. You want to hit him in the jaw with it, not the forehead. Also, if he moves his head, you can always hit him in the chest, which isn't as fast to move. So throwing a high jab followed by a lower right is a good thing. At least in my book...

Well i can answer this one easy...

Everytime I shadow I think of a different fighter... this time i was thinking about this dude that is 6'4-178 down here....He dips low when he trys to slip jabs so i throw the punches where he would be.

Anyway... hey what did you mean about my legs? Is there something else I could be doing to take the pressure off my RIBS?

If so please let me know because its really hurting my trainging not being able to throw the full arsenal of punches...
They jus hurt so bad on hooks and uppercuts... and when I pivot to right they hurt... or when I slip to the left they hurt...

i'm really not clear on why i can pivot left so easily.. but i think it has somethin to do with pushin off with my right.

But hey keep the comments comin on my posts punch.. I take them all seriously...I'll be posting sparring soon.

ohh yea and punching the chest is something that boxers do not use enough... its almost as bad as getting hit in the sternum if its hard enough.

That, plus it stops him in his tracks, setting up more punches for you.

Some of your earlier punches looked to be aimed high, like you're in with Valuev or something. Best to have that aiming point a little below where you want to create the contact. I've seen many fights and never seen anyone jump to avoid a punch. Aim low, that way if they crouch or duck, which many people do as instinct on head punches, they'll catch it right where you wanted to get them at times.
