I had Fury winning. that judge having wilder winning was atrocious. But the other judge had Fury up 2 points going into the 12th. Wilder found a way to get a KD. Wilder is still the champ so he is obligated to go to England.

Most Brits were gung ho about the rematch and changed when Fury ran and signed with TR. He got paid for 2 fights with bums but that Wallin fight and the inability to sell tickets for it really hurt Fury's image.

No, Fury ran away during negotiations for the 2nd fight. Just call it straight and don't justify it. I had Fury winning but he didn't win the fight, it was a draw.

We need one heavyweight champ. Right now there’s 4 guys with an argument. Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Ruiz. If one of these guys can rack up wins vs all of the other 3, I’d say he’s in the HOF. Got a few other guys not that far behind these 4 as well. Lots of potential for someone to be remembered as an all time great a couple decades down the road. We probably don’t see it right now, because so many people have a claim to the HW throne. Let one clearly prevail over the others though, we got a sports legend on our hands

If you look at just the money, yes. If you look at the bigger picture, I don't think so.

Obviously you don't tell someone to turn down that kind of money unless you can get it to him another way. I don't know how Al plans to make him that kind of money. IMO he put PBC 's future ahead of what was best for Wilder in the short term. WIlder seems to have bought in and believes he will get it on the back end.

Wilder is almost 35 years old and he has made less money than most heavyweight champions comparatively. At this point, it shouldn't be about Hamon, or his ****** Showtime loyalty excuses, it should be about legacy, unification and setting himself up for life. You can't keep beating up on bums, gatekeepers and has beens and call yourself the "baddest man on the planet". This man will have had the belt for 5 years and he still can't sell out a venue or get any sponsors. He needs to take a long hard look at what he's done in his career. When you don't take any risks, there's no reward. This Ortiz PPV farce won't even sell 100k PPV's but they won't release the PPV numbers to hide that.

That was an example of a clear conflict of interest between what's best for Haymon's business and what's best for the fighters he advises, not to mention the best interests of boxing fans and the sport as a whole.

Wilder could have earned himself a fortune by accepting the DAZN offer, and boxing would have got what it needs more than anything else, a unified, undisputed champion in the HW division. Thanks to Haymon's "advice" neither of those things happened.

Regarding your point about legacy-before Fury signed with TR the plan appeared to be to fight Fury next and the winner fight AJ. I think that clearly shows a willingness to define legacy.

As for his resume-Wilder isn't that good. IMO all he has is power. You can fairly criticize his resume. I think his team recognizes his lack of skill and matches him accordingly. I think Wilder's paydays far exceed his talent level. Hw many fighters have actually done that?

You have no idea what the Ortiz PPV will sell. It might do very well.

I would agree except you don't know where wilder is financially. I understand we would take that money in a heartbeat but not every athlete takes every offer, especially if they think they can do better. Frankly, reminds me a lot of Floyd not taking Arum's money, buying out his TR deal for $750k. Everyone said it was a bad deal. Uhh, nope.

At some point you guys need to stop getting mad when Haymon and his fighters protect their financial futures. This is their job. They have every right to make deals and guide their careers in the best interest for them. You guys get outraged at Haymon guys but say nothing when other guys do the same thing.

No, fans didn't get what they wanted. Instead Wilder fought Fury and we got a tremendous fight with drama until the end that all fans enjoyed. Then we got a generational upset in Ruiz over AJ that fans enjoyed. We can still get a unified champ but no, we will not get 2 undefeated HWT's vying for the unified, lineal title.

Maybe instead of focusing on the negative, you should try enjoying what you did get because it was pretty good.
