should i continue to list the guys spence, bud, golovkin etc fought at age 24? most guys at 24 dont have impressive names on their resume....those guys are few and far between

if hes 26 still doing the same stuff we can start to call him for it

how many guys in the sport can tick off even one of those boxes at 24?

what were bud and spence doing at 24? were they making davis money? were they selling out? were they headlining showtime and hbo cards? loma was still fighting kids in headgear.....

stop hating on the guy...hes ahead in the business aspect of the game...ahead of alot of guys....but i get it...business doesnt matter if its a black guy or guy you dont like or a guy with the pbc

but if golovkin is ducking ward to wait another year and half to fight canelo "cause duh its smart business" its ok.....some of you are so deluded and twisted with hate its sickening......

hes 24 and has a ton of time to build a real resume....yall celebrated a guy that took his first meaningful fight at age 34 lol
Tank's a fine fighter and you were doing real good right up until the point when you started on hating dudes, Why you finding that ish necessary?

not trying to hate on dudes...if you read through the thread i even compared him to spence, who i am a fan of...bud who i am a fan of.......im using others as a barometer......what were other top p4p guys doing at 24???? not much

if tank is still fighting same level of comp in two years we have a gripe...but as of now hes doing things the way pretty much all 24 year olds have done it

look at bud and spences opponents at age 24

look at their opponents now compared to tanks. stop doing mental gymnastics to find ways to excuse cherry picking. tank literally said he was goin to take advantage of boxing and make easy money. why are you a fan of that? make him prove his "greatness" dont make up some fantasy trajectory where he's on course to be great. you ether are or you aren't. age doesnt matter. some people are great young, some old. some people just cherry pick. call it out. tank davis is a championship level fighter, has a big US promoter/manager, network backing, adn yet he still fights bums. none of the guys you listed had that at the age of 24. the important thing is he has all the conditions in his favor to make good fights and he squanders them.

I really hate popularity contest arguments. I never liked a boxer because he was popular or successful. In fact, I sometimes like them less if they are popular but don't fight anyone good.

****, Tank's win over Pedraza as a single win puts him in front of Spence up til Brook and roughly equal Bud up til Postol for my money. Kid's a phenomenal talent and I'm a fan but if you're trying to justify his recent run whilst simultaneously criticising GGGs then you're rationalising and a hypocrite, pure and simple. Can you not see this? All those 'excuses' that you think the lil G fans are making? Look at yourself and what you're saying here and perhaps you'll understand 'em better.

Canelo's achievements at 24 are so far above Tank's its not even worth mentioning.

                      Because of TMT privilege.

Who's PPV, Mayweather's? The one where he looked mediocre against a nobody, and had to knock him out with a rabbit punch?

The world title that he actually earned, he lost on the scales leading up to his bout with Fonseca. His other one was stolen from Machado and handed to him against a guy who hadn't fought in 2 years, who's last fight was a loss a division below. That entire situation was sus as fuck.

I don't know. How many guys have Money May and Uncle Al pulling strings for them behind the scenes as much as they do for Tank? This man was literally handed someone else's belt, and will be handed another one, when he moves up and retires Gamboa. This man hasn't fought anybody decent or earned anything since beating Pedraza, literally over 2 years ago.

Playing the race card and sucking off the PBC at the same time. Impressive.

I don't think either man really cared much about making that fight. Besides, GGG was trying to build his career at his comfortable weight division. Those Canelo fights did much more for him, than fighting Ward would've, especially at the time.

GGG was promoted to WBA regular champion in 2010, but Felix Sturm didn't want that smoke. Geale beat Sturm and ducked GGG hard af. GGG didn't take his first meaningful fight at 34, no decent middleweights were willing to face him until he was 34. Get your facts straight.
