    tank davis age 24

    -sold out in his hometown
-headlined several shows on showtime(a premiere boxing network)
-provided main support a ppv that did over 2 million buys
-is making per fight, in the ballpark, the same as the #1 p4p guy in the sport
    - is a world champ(yes im aware his resume isnt great and there are too many belts and being a "champ" is watered down today)

how many guys in the sport can tick off even one of those boxes at 24?

what were bud and spence doing at 24? were they making davis money? were they selling out? were they headlining showtime and hbo cards? loma was still fighting kids in headgear.....

stop hating on the guy...hes ahead in the business aspect of the game...ahead of alot of guys....but i get it...business doesnt matter if its a black guy or guy you dont like or a guy with the pbc

but if golovkin is ducking ward to wait another year and half to fight canelo "cause duh its smart business" its ok.....some of you are so deluded and twisted with hate its sickening......

hes 24 and has a ton of time to build a real resume....yall celebrated a guy that took his first meaningful fight at age 34 lol

Couldn't agree more, the loma/ggg fans must not be capable of using simple reasoning & logic or they'd see how hypocritically re_tar..ted they are when they trash younger fighters with much better resumes than those 2 at that age who were still fighting kids as grown men. That being said the kid does look like a fat lesbian doe,& he is too old to be ducking one way or the other, but I do agree completely that fans of those 2 should keep their traps shut

Bullet #4 as a metric is nothing significant. AB was making 2x that. Unless you're personally benefitting from the guys income, it's a useless talking point.

Who cares if he’s sold out his hometown? And he didn’t “provide main support” for anything lol. He co mained an “event” where 90% or the drunk frat boys had no idea who he even was? Fans want to see him fight top guys. He hasn’t fought anyone.

Plus he lost to a scale that night, and he’s no longer a world champ. Running away from Tevin Farmer to fight an ancient, shot Gamboa.

How much of that success is attributed to pedersty with mayweather you think?

I dont have to benefit from the guys income to talk about it....its just facts...hes making, ballpark, what loma does....and hes 24...hes making real good money for his age...better than most guys make at that age...better than spence...better than crawford did....

how many guys benefited from golovkin making more money against canelo than he would have against ward? not anyone here! yet i bet you didnt scold one person who excused the ward duck cause of all the dollars he made fighting canelo.....right? of course! and heres the reality...it took golovkin a whole year and half after ward approached him to even get that canelo fight

simply pointing out one guy, at age 24, who was making the same or better is not proof...because I can list 500000000 guys at that age who arent/werent making what davis is....you cant be that dumb that thinking finding one exception nullifies a point with a million examples to back it up can you? are you that desperate or just dumb

Rexy...youre a good dude and I usually respect your opinion

but im sorry...selling out in your hometown at age 24 says something....bud couldnt do it...how many guys can do it in america? not many...and certainly many couldnt do it at that juncture in their careers.....could spence? could wilder? could bud? NOPE!

i dont care who bought the floyd ppv...he was the co main event/main support(two terms meaning the same thing and you said as much) for a ppv that did 2 mil ppvs.....alot of people saw him...thats called exposure.....which for a kid at 24 hes had alot of....that means something

and gamboa is a bigger name than farmer....hes going after a bigger name to further his exposure...people know the name gamboa even outside of hardcores....hes been on tv....nobody who isnt a hardcore knows farmer man and you know this

hes 24...he has time to build a resume and get good fights.....what were spence/bud fighting at age 24? golovkin didnt take a meaningful fight till 34.....what are most guys doing at 24? fighting scrubs or guys in headgear? YUP!

Gamboa is a cherrypick, simple and plain. No respect there. And he sold out a stadium in Balmer. **** is there to do in Balmer? lol

I just don’t care about numbers. You know that. I say the same thing about every fighter, I’ve got no loyalties. Tank’s entire career has basically been knocking guys out from lower weight classes and holding a belt hostage. And that’s my main issue with this era, you have guys who will win a BS Vacant strap and then refuse to defend it against anyone good because “they’re developing?

**** off. That’s what regional titles are for.

lol@thinking of i have loyalities....i could care less bout the guy...its just hilarious to watch people whine about him

him refusing to defend it against farmer or whatever you think it is has less to do with wanting to fight him and more to do with the power struggle between outfits....you know that...hes not afraid of fighting farmer

the business side of it exists...we dont like it...but we accept it because we cant change it..in a perfect, fantasy, world it wouldnt exist...you seem to want to exist there instead of reality

he put 15k in the seats for a fight..i dont care who or where you are thats impressive in the US for a guy that young and at that level...15k...how many americans are doing that...is bud even doing that in omaha right now?

stop living in your fantasy world where the business side of boxing doesnt exist...because it does...for everyone
