Why do people rate Canelo's resume so high, even relative to GGG's?

cuz his resume is better. people knock him because he barely sc****d by the best names on his resume...but a win is a win on paper, and that's what a resume is. if someone wants to give ggg more credit for steamrolling B level guys than canelo getting controversial wins over A level guys, that's their business, but it's not really how a resume works.

But for me a win/resume is all about the manner of victory as well...and also when you fought a certain guy...I 100% feel like Canelo facing Mosley or Cotto when he did is not the best version of those guys, and I think some of GGG's wins over those B level guys were just as good as far as the difficulty of the matchup...and GGG was fight in and fight out much more impressive and dominant imo...I just don't really see the quality advantage in Canelo's favor personally...similar resumes in a lot of ways as far as number of quality opponets etc though

You should watch the Rolls fight and see how many times GGG went to the body. Ask yourself whats the difference between landed punches and clean punches.

In theory they should be synonymous correct? That's why your signature seems to be a fail since you don't know how to contextualize the 4 criteria in PRIZE FIGHTING.

GGG could dink his way with just jabs in the first Canelo fight which was awkward by many since his Rolls execution was what he had previously done for years before. Though when he fought Canelo, Byrd must have thought GGG was literally scared, or one judge had it a Draw, or the grand wizard Moretti had it 115-113. Had Moretti inched a swing round for Canelo, it would've been a majority DRAW as well.

This proves how the first fight was a DRAW.

Industry tried hard to troll the bout as if GGG ''clearly'' won like a Boliodogs approach.

Yeah he went to the body more often against Rolls...Rolls is older slower longer and worse than Canelo so it was much easier...also it is always hard to know which punches get through completely clean...just about score punches landed and their effectiveness...if a guy is landing a little pitty-pat jab 20 times in a round, and getting rocked by 10 hard shots...well pretty clearly the guy landing 10 shots won that round.

Yep good post man...I just think it's impressive when a guy can clearly show he is better than his opponent...and I think more or less GGG and Canelo have faced the same types/caliber of opponents...but GGG has been much more decisive than Canelo in most fights...Canelo has a good resume though for sure imo

only if you label Vanes as " good "..... and Mosley as " ok "
