Why do people rate Canelo's resume so high, even relative to GGG's?

Serious question/thread...just never really understood the hype on Canelo's and hate on GGG's.

Even without the two GGG-Canelo fights with each other...let's just look at some names:

Canelo's good wins - Trout (never scored/watched it all), Lara (I had Canelo 7-5), Jacobs (7-5), Smith (good KO), Cotto (shot and at a higher than best weight...but good win), Kirkland (KO), Angulo (KO), Fielding (KO).

Canelo's OK wins - Lopez, Cintron, Chavez, Mosley, Baldomir, Khan.

GGG's good wins (besides Jacobs all KOs) - Jacobs (8-4 imo), Murray, Brook, Lemieux, Monroe, Geale, Macklin, Proksa, Ouma, Stevens, Vanes.

GGG's OK wins (all KOs) - Rosado, Adama, Rubio, Ishida, Rolls.

GGG has more good wins imo...and more dominant in most of those wins...winning by KO and hardly losing a round...and more OK/Good wins total, almost all by KO...compared to quite a few decisions for Canelo.

That's without even getting into the 2 Canelo-GGG fights which I felt were pretty straightforward wins for GGG...outlanding Canelo in 18/22 rounds (2 ties)...that's 80+% of the rounds that he was outlanding Canelo...pretty impressive on that for sure.

So genuinely - what am I missing?

Edit - not to mention the clear loss Canelo has to Mayweather...but I don't really slight him for that...he was pretty green then and it was not an ideal weight for him.

Because Canelo's is just way better. But why create a new thread when this topic has been beaten to death. Why not just look up old threads and see how people voted? I'll help you out...here is a hint it won't fair well for GGG LMAO

Canelo's resume is flat out better and that's before he not just beat GGG head to head but literally beat the Mexican Style out his azzz.

Just thought him vs GGG was a good comparison...as rivals/peers...and similar enough careers for the most part imo...but most seem to slight GGG's resume while thinking very highly of Canelo's.

Good point about the age differences and achievements...will be interesting to see what the rest of Canelo's career holds.

I know you really rate Canelo...wasn't really trying to rile people up either...just when I look at the guys they have faced, and the circumstances in which they faced them...GGG's seems much better to me, as I kind of highlighted in my main post.

Wasn't really getting into a poll...that's a popularity contest...was genuinely wondering why the names and manner of victory I mentioned on Canelo's sheet is better than GGG's...I don't really think it is, and I honestly think it is pretty clear in favoring GGG at this point.

Then just bump up a old thread. Hell how about this one just a few weeks ago.

This has been beaten to death and everytime it is always a landslide for Canelo. If you still don't get why Hall of famers, top P4P ranked, World Champions are rated as better wins then guys like Vanes, Rolls, Stevens then sorry I can't help you. LMAO

Lol...how are they not honestly...it's not just who you face, but when/where etc you face them, and how effectively you beat them...that's how I have always seen it anyway.

Brook was not at an ideal weight...this is true...but he was a 147 champion in his prime and he lasted 4-5 rounds vs GGG...brutal stoppage...Stevens was in his prime and got put out in 8 rounds and maybe won 1 round...Vanes was a little inactive and moving up in weight but he was put out in 2 rounds...and many people gave him the first round vs GGG in that fight actually.

I have watched a lot of his fights since I was a big Lara fan...and he looked about the same there to me vs GGG as he always has....moving up in weight was a bigger issue imo than the layoff...he had nothing to keep GGG off of him so he got ran over.

Ouma was a former champ and probably gave GGG his toughest fight (TO THIS DAY imo - Wilder impression there)...before the stoppage I had that one pretty even...Ouma was coming off a few losses in his last few fights...this is true...but the manner in which GGG beat him relative to what those guys did was impressive imo...especially since a few of those fights were questionable decisions.

If GGG was going 12 rounds with those guys...and winning 8-4 decisions...I would completely agree that they were only OK wins...or even less than OK...but the opponents were solid there and he just destroyed all of them...like 15 of them...very impressive in my view.

I just mentioned I am not really interested in a poll my friend...that is a popularity contest and Canelo fans/GGG dislikers dominate this forum pretty strongly.

I just made a thread about specifically why people rate Canelo's resume as better than GGG's...and I laid out my case as to why I rate GGG's better...I am open to hearing other side out, just don't really see the case from what I have seen.

I would also add that going 12 rounds with a shot 40 year old Mosley at 154 pounds...when Mosley was like a 140-147 guy in his prime in my view...I mean I don't really see the logic honestly in saying that is a better win that GGG stopping someone like Monroe etc in 5-6 rounds when that guy is in their prime, at their best weight etc. Seems like a better win all around...factoring in when/where/how matter imo when judging a resume...it has to
