It's good to be confident. But underestimating your opponent may not be so good.
Where does he think he can beat floyd in one round come from? Did he stop maliganaggi in 20 seconds or something
    .?

Mayweather's gauge of distance and ability to close it with that lead right hook has been devastating and beautiful to watch over his career, once he has you timed as well it completely bamboozles opponents - they don't even see it coming.

McGregor having the considerably longer reach and being a southpaw will make that more difficult though. McGregor being a southpaw also opens Floyds philly shell defence up too, together with the reach and timing of his, I think that presents opportunities to land clubbing shots - exactly what McGregor has done damage with in UFC.

I just think the fight itself is and will be much more intriguing and matched than people realise... And even if it does turn into a Gatti-style masterclass from Mayweather then just enjoy, cause that was wonderful to watch and something you don't see too often.

        You're trolling yourself.

I see folks on here talking about boxing fans underestimating Conor but what I see is Conor underestimating Floyd. Maybe he's just trying to hype the fight, but if he really believes that he's going to come in and blast through Floyd in 1 or 2 rounds, then it really can end early... for Conor. The guy has a tall upright MMA stance, he doesn't know the nuances of boxing so he's going to be vulnerable to shots that the other opponents of Floyd haven't been. Add to that the magnitude of the event, he could really gas in two rounds with all that movement trying to land a big shot. I can't imagine that he hits harder that Canelo who didn't even wobble Floyd with him standing right in front.

I think the pressure and training has gotten to him
Going from 'I'll KO him inside of four rounds" to "I'll KO inside of one" is going soft to you?

This isn't a baseball player taking on Justin Speith in match play golf based off the fact he can swing a club, the similarities and skills needed in stand-up MMA and boxing are much, much more closely aligned. People are also talking like McGregor is going to go in there and become some super-orthodox upright boxer trying to outscore Mayweather jab for jab. I think this is going to be unlike anything we have seen in every way, and McGregor is crazy and confident enough to actually come at this in a completely unorthodox but effective manner. I'm a huge fan of Mayweather's ability and think he is a genius, but I also look at how Maidana, DLH and Cotto approached him and see ways McGregor could at the very least make it interesting and find ways to land. McGregor also has a 5cm reach advantage - FYI, Cotto has a 13cm disadvantage, Maidana an 8cm disadvantage and DLH only a 2cm advantage. McGregor is also a southpaw, Judah gave Mayweather all sorts of problems early on and has the same reach as him.

I'm not saying McGregor will win, but I do think he has more than enough to make it interesting for 4-5 rounds and find people's reaction to this fight ignorant and misinformed.
MMA "boxing" or "striking" and actual Boxing are completely different.

I like confidence, I love a good trashtalker but this guy just rubs me the wrong way now.

I can't tell if he's genuinely even more deluded than Amir Khan or if he is just completely bat**** crazy.

I know he's not a boxer but after all this nonstop smack talk and rubbishing of boxing he ain't half going to look mightily ****** if he gets clowned in there which is an extremely high possibility. A walking meme waiting too happen.

                  Delusion. Definite, 100% genuine delusion.

It isn't just this, it's in his own sport too.

When someone said to him Nate Diaz gave him problems he completely denied it. Claimed he didn't give him any problems at all and he honestly believes it. It's that bad. Worse than Khan.

I am not sure how this guy is going to take such a humiliating beat down in the biggest fight in history. His confidence, delusions and EGO are at an all time high, I don't think he will be the same after this.
