You might as well count Pac fighting Marg for the JMW title.
Here are the Ring rankings for 2005:
Zab Judah, Champion
Antonio Margarito
Cory Spinks
Shane Mosley
Luis Collazo
Thomas Damgaard
Kermit Cintron
Jose Antonio Rivera
Oktay Urkal
David Estrada
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
2006
Floyd Mayweather Jr., Champion
Antonio Margarito
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
Miguel Cotto
Zab Judah
Luis Collazo
Kermit Cintron
Oktay Urkal
Arturo Gatti
Paul Williams
Joshua Clottey
If you're going to say Baldomir was #1 and there was no need to fight Margarito, you might as well say Floyd should fight Jeff Horn and there's no need to fight Spence or Thurman.
Gatti was not #1. Hatton had beaten Tzyzu for 140 supremacy.
That's like saying Cotto was never Lineal at MW because he fought Martinez at a catchweight. Silly. Martinez was #1 at the weight being fought.
Gatti was #1 when Mayweather beat him. Tszyu was Ring and Gatti was #1.
Jeff Horn isn't #1 at Welterweight. Another terrible example.

Is that why Baldomir wasn't even in the Top 10 at the end of 07?

Stick a video In their faces with Floyd admitting to ducking certain fighters(fake retirement) and they will somehow twist the facts and blame the fighter who called Floyd out. It's like a mother who has a son who was Involved In a murder. The mentally disturbed mother somehow twists the facts, blames the victim and states that the victim had It coming to him.
I'm done
