If he is this huge cherry picker it should be easy right??
What were all these other so called great fighters doing besides losing?? why were they not dominating and beating other p4p fighters?
You acknowledge rankings but how can you defend the fact that before retiring in 2007, Floyd didn't fight not 1, I repeat, not 1 top ranked WW?
Floyd fought a JWW in Hatton that was almost stopped by Collazo in his only showing at 147 then Floyd proceeded to retire. If we're talking about rankings and fighting the best, how can you defend this?
And I quote "Mayweather knows the next opponent for Floyd will probably come out of the Nov. 10 battle between WBA welterweight champ Miguel Cotto and former three division title-holder "Sugar" Shane Mosley."
It was even more evident in this interview after the Cotto vs Mosley fight, Nov 10th, 2007:
@1:38, Cotto says "Mayweather, Hatton, Margarito, De La Hoya, Whoever they put in front of me, I'll fight".
In December 2007, here's what Floyd had to say regarding facing Cotto:
Floyd also said Cotto lives too far and isn't a PPV star.
I think it's quite clear Floyd ducked this fight by retiring for almost 2 years right after.
Here's the Welterweight rankings at the end of 2007:
Floyd Mayweather Jr., Champion
Miguel Cotto
Paul Williams
Shane Mosley
Antonio Margarito
Zab Judah
Kermit Cintron
Luis Collazo
Joshua Clottey
Jackson Osei Bonsu
Oktay Urkal
In 2008, here were The Ring's top 10 Welterweights:
Antonio Margarito
Miguel Cotto
Shane Mosley
Joshua Clottey
Manny Pacquiao
Carlos Quintana
Zab Judah
Luis Collazo
Andre Berto
Isaac Hlatshwayo
Tell me why instead of fighting Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Floyd fought, Junior Welterweight, Ricky Hatton and retired right after?
When presented with Cotto, why did Floyd say "I won't let the sport of boxing retire me, I'll retire before that happens"?
Why did Floyd say this only to continue to fight for another 10 years to this day?
Floyd never fought for legacy. Always for cash. He never ducked anyone. Fought the biggest money fights & in the process acquired the best resume of his era. He has the best resume even when resume wasnt his main goal lol..

I don't think he was a cherry picker and his record would be very hard to beat in my opinion. He beat a very large number of champions. No matter who he fought many people would say he should be fighting somebody else.He couldn't please everybody and he couldn't fight everybody at the same time. When you are as good as he is and a bragger some will try to tear his record apart. Yes, Floyd had a few cherry picks like Berto but almost all champions have a cherry pick fight from time to time.

I regret having to do this to you Larry but look no further, here is the man who tops Floyd in one prominent area! Brace yourself, this changes everything. You will need to sit down for this one:

This is exactly how I see it. While he was fighting for money, something happened along the way, he won multiple titles, multiple divisions, and became an all time great fighter.
