Mackie Shilstone is one of the most respected sport science strategists in the world, who also helped Spinks move up to fight Holmes, and Hopkins to move up against Tarver.

Roy also passed 3 random tests in fights after Hall in 2000.

          Bo Jackson....Perfect comparison!

            he's gotta be up there

was so athletically gifted but once he aged and his legs went, he became a sitting duck

and he was so physically gifted he did not have to master the fundamentals so he got knocked out several times

              Yeah.

Most of the guys here can only debate with BoxRec stats.

It's funny seeing all this love for Roy now because most boxing fans hated him and constantly tried to discredit his resume the same way they do Floyd. "Hopkins was too green". "McCallum was too old". "Toney was weight drained." "Ruiz was overrated".

Roy Jones always reminded me of Deion Sanders, dudes were athletic freaks who could break all of the conventional rules and be ok cause of their athleticism.

Absolutely. There isn't a fighter that has ever laced up a pair of gloves that is better than Roy Jones Jr in his prime.
