Canelo is really playing in to the perception that he's a big baby. Maybe he's actively trying to get people to hate him so that he can get people to pay to see him lose. Sort of like what was happening with Floyd

I understand how Canelo feels but he himself and Golden Boy put themselves in that situation. They had plenty of time to negotiate or work something out.

Acting like a big baby about it now is not going to do him any good. SMH, Lol
      I presume you're talking about Nov 21st 2015 there?

Canelo actually knew well before then that he would be mandated to fight GGG next if he beat Cotto, and he signed an agreement agreeing to do it, or vacate, as a condition of the WBC sanctioning the fight.

The WBC also gave Golovkin a contract guaranteeing him the right to fight the Cotto/Canelo winner next. That contract was legally binding and K2 would have sued them in the courts if they hadn't honoured it.

So Canelo has no beef with the WBC. He's acting like a spoilt child throwing a tantrum when his parents finally put their foot down and say "No, we can't give you what you want this time"

The guy is a total ****** ...think back 8 years ago when Alvarez was under the protective umbrella of WBC & Sulaiman, he's acting like a complete jerk ...I wonder if he ever paid the money to All Star boxing in the lawsuit he lost it came to 7 1/2 million... he's not exactly rolling in dough but I did see you after his fight with Jr. In a Mex paper he bought a Mercedes SUV for about 480 k...

And GGG knew Canelo wasn't fighting at 160 after Cotto fight. They knew he won the belt at 155 and never fought at 160. Matter fact 2 faced Tom Loeffler knew this and said a week before the Canelo/cotto fight that if Canelo wins we have NO problem going down in wait to a catchweight.

There wouldn’t be any issues for us to come down to fight Canelo. There would still be a title on the line for Gennady because he would be fighting under 160, so he would be able to defend the titles at 156 or whatever you have the weight be. But Gennady would be willing to come down in weight to fight Canelo. I wouldn’t say it would be at 154 but certainly, given that Canelo fought his last fight at 155, then you could say that Gennady would certainly be willing to come down in weight to make the Canelo fight.” - Loeffler

WBC said they had no problems with both sides negotiating weight. Months after Canelo wins Loeffler flip flopped and tried to use a purse bid and threaten to force Canelo to be stripped to gain leverage in weight and money negotiations. After saying they would go down in weight they said not only would they not go down they wouldn't even negotiate dropping a single pound killing the fight. NO B side fighter makes these kind of demands on a PPV superstar. WBC should of stayed out of it and told them you need to negotiate the fight instead of use us for leverage. They backed the wrong horse as Canelo told the world ok then phuk you threw the belt in the trash. GGG no more leverage and got ****D in negotiations and the crooked WBC won't be a part of the show.

Like a LIL MONEY GRUBBIN HO!!! Is GGG a HOR or WHAT??? I thought he wasn't business man??? He took the $$$ like a SLUT on Vegas Strip.
I'll explain how step aside money works for dumb ***s like you who don't get it.

The champion pays it to his mando so he can fight somebody else next without losing his belt. .. that's it.

If the mando refuses to accept the step aside fee that doesn't mean the champion has to fight him, it just means he has a choice of whether to fight him or relinquish his title.

If GGG had turned down the money, Cotto would have gone ahead and fought Canelo anyway, and idiots like you would have been shittting on GGG for forcing a champion to relinquish his title instead of waiting his turn to fight for it, like a "B" side mando is supposed to do.

EXACTLY. Canelo got the fight he wanted and will make far more money then he would of had he gone along with the crooked WBC and agreed to the purse bid that GGG was forcing. With the WBC out the loop and especially after the Jacobs disaster GGG camp bent over and greased up. Every fight Canelo makes the B side can't wait to go screaming to the media and leak how much money they getting. Not GGG and not a single leak because everybody knows they got ****d by Canelo. In sept he will get ****d in the ring the too.

Ok. But you left out the bit about Canelo vacating his belt without even trying to negotiate on the weight, and you have no evidence at all that he did it because Loeffler tried to force a purse bid. Canelo never mentioned that, Oscar never mentioned it, the WBC never mentioned it, and no boxing sites or news outlets published a single word about it. IT NEVER HAPPENED.

how can you negoatate weight when the other side for months is saying this you phuking clown

"In our particular instance against Canelo there wouldn't be any negotiations about the weight. It would be two middleweight champions fighting each other at 160lbs. Now if Canelo vacates the title and it becomes a voluntary fight down the road in 2017, then anything is negotiable - the money, location and weight"

Lied about that too because even after Canelo vacated these clowns still refused to drop weight. This was just 2 months after he said no problems going down in weight to fight canelo and he already making threats to have Canelo vacated. You want more quotes from Loeffler, GGG and Abel himself saying we will not drop weight?
