Regardless of which side I'm on if I want to see a fight I just hope that they can negotiate something that makes sense to both sides. Smh.

The early offer in December for a fight the following September was just a silly preemptive tactic to slow all the GGG questions from the media. After their next fights coming up soon they'll have more than sufficient time to negotiate all the terms. Let's hope they come to an agreement but stop thinking that K2 doesn't have any leverage. Mexican fight fans are GGG's #1 bargaining chip.

I couldn't care less about the split

or about who is the A-side

I just think that whining about 15mil is an absurd reason to kill that fight

FACT: GGG could EASILY take that HUGE fortune, and kick some red ass

    keyword = " EASILY "

if he loses that fight, the fault lies directly with Mr Businessman

He's not going to lose it the only reason he can negotiate is because Canelo stands to get his highest pay day too. It's actually quite simple.

You're not entitled to your own facts. Out of Canelo's last 6 fights 5 of them have been at middleweight. He didn't have a belt after giving his middleweight WBC to GGG (to avoid fighting him) so he picked on Liam Smith at SWW so that he could be called "campeon". Of course with no intention to defend the SWW belt. The reason he has no resume at 160 is because all his opponents at middleweight were not true middleweights themselves. Canelo and GBP truly deserve to be called Con-nelo. He's a con at 160, a con at 154 and a pretender at 164.5.

GGG has stayed at 160 since turning pro so of course he doesn't have a resume at any other weight class. He has always wanted to fight Canelo at the full middleweight - 160.

Still I don't care if they fight this year or next year but everybody knows that's the fight that needs to be made and it needs to be negotiated fairly. GBP knows where to stick their flat fee.

          you are a fkn idiot

          log off foolio

I used to entertain clowns who referred to 155 as middleweight, but no more

you know absolutely nothing about this sport if you think that Canelo has been campaigning at middleweight.... that ******ed argument died when Canelo beat Smith at 154 for the WBO title

if you think that fighting a JMW opponent 1lb over the JMW limit suddenly turns you into a middleweight, then you are a fool

if 155 is middleweight, then why wouldn't lil'G fight Canelo at "middleweight"?..... oh right, because 155 is not middleweight

seriously, you spastic..... after lecturing me that I am not entitled to my own facts, you then IMMEDIATELY stated that Canelo has been fighting at middleweight for his last 5 fights LMAO

sick of ******ed people, and their ******ed arguments

Well let's see sherlock .... this bout will sell at least 1.5 million PPV'S @ $70 plus gate revenues etc..... so when everything is said & Done this mega fight will bring in something like $125 million $$$$$$ .... so if you are the Undisputed Champ , tell me how 10% of the Purse is fair to the Undisputed King of MW ???

                rubbish !!

                I reckon 800-900k

and the network will take 45% of the pot before the fighters

I highly doubt that fight will sell 1mil PPV's

no idea how/why they would offer Golovkin 15mil ??

and NO IDEA how/why he could turn it down

                bizarre

Another one that doesn't know wtf he's talking about but thinks he can discuss the subject.

Cable providers and HBO take half of the PPV money.

The fight does nowhere near 1.5 mil.

An emotional response + flawed maths. Exactly what I didn't ask for.

Even with your fantastic number of 1.5 million buys (lol @ this actually happening), the cable providers and HBO take half, the promoter will get a cut, leaving $15 million for GGG as a fantastic offer.

I'm still trying to figure out when Canelo became the A side of boxing? Who did he beat to get that designation? His PPV numbers are weak when they don't feature a named opponent on the card. Canelo's last PPV #'s barely hit 300k so how does that support the theory that he is the A side of boxing? If Canelo's PPV numbers vs. Chavez do the same would you still consider Canelo the A side of boxing? This is the biggest fight in Canelo's career next to the Floyd fight and would certainly catapult him to the top of the P4P list.
