It's a shame.

Me not thinking much of Golovkin at this point, has nothing to do with his PPV viability, and more to do with his extremely *****ty resume. It's full of cans, and mediocre opposition. The guy is 36 fights in, and Jacobs will be his first real test at middleweight. Golovkin's resume is filled with, mediocre, Euro level, Canadian level, midgets, bums, cab drivers, contender rejects, 154 pounders etc. He looks devastating in his fights, but who wouldn't against the type of guys he is facing. It's hard to tell what guys have, when facing such weak opposition.
Bonus question: do you know any of these names without looking them up? Carl Daniels, Morrade Hakkar, William Joppy, Robert Allen and Howard Eastman?

Just because their selling it on ppv, doesn't mean the fight buy worthy.

Yup, and I also know that Joppy, Allen, and Eastman would be Golovkin's three best opponents looking at Golovkin's current resume. lol
