and? should we have 17 football leagues so you have another champion every 5-10 pounds? should we have 17 basketball leagues so you have another champion every 1.5 inches?

    why not have 17 world chess champions? separated by IQ? 105, 108, 112, 115, 118, 122, 126, 130, 135, 140, 147, 154, 160, 175, 200 and unlimited?

You keep attacking me personally, but you haven't been able to refute any of my arguments.

I have never claimed to be an expert on the science and art of boxing itself, but it does appear I may have a better understanding of the business of boxing than most here. Which would make sense since I've worked in the combat sports industry for nearly 20 years at this point.

I would love for you to prove that I'm a "total moron" by debunking my positions, but you can't. It appears the issue may be that you are not on my intellectual level, and so you assume I am the moron when the real problem is that you don't possess the intelligence to understand the concepts I'm presenting.

I'd be happy to have us compare intellectual credentials any time you wish. Would not end well for you.

starting to wonder if he ripped his bicep. I was framing a house fell 10 ft on top of a 2x4 wall where the 2x4 plate went under my armpit as I grabbed it to stop the fall ripping my bicep in half and breaking a rib. being young dumb I kept working. when I made a muscle it collapsed. surgeon said he could fix it and I could rip it first day back on the job. I don't see how he can use it that fast . it took years before I got strength back and the bicep is hollow in one spot and big lump above it

It's not like Joshua has a heap more experience under his belt - Joshua had 43 amateur fights, whereas Wilder had 35. Joshua was 18 when he started boxing, 19 for Wilder.

It's fine - totally fine - if people want to say he's unrefined, a slow learner or whatever - as long as the reality of him having one of the most hollow records for a Champ, in history, is also accepted.

My beef is with someone carrying around one of the most prestigious belts in the game, having done jack to show he's worth it. And then, those arguing against the shallowness of his pro career.
It is not even experience it is just where a guy is at and how you move them quickly. Wilder was a guy that needed to be slow rolled watch his early fight and watch his later work the improvement is there, now if you want to debate how good he actually is that is a different matter. He is what he is maybe it is good enough but maybe not I am sure we will find out soon enough.

Some guys move quicker because they just start from a naturally better place, and some move quicker because they don't have the mindset for long term slow growth. A guy like Joshua started in a better place so he could be moved a long quite a bit quicker while Wilder needed years to develop further. So Joshua obviously started out better no doubt that cant be debated but a guy that started worse can end up better off.

Now some people like yourself make a big deal out of picking up the WBC or any strap, fair enough those are high end prizes so you main beef is post Stiverne which I don't agree with but I see that point. I personally don't care much either way I want a guy to be the best fighter they can be regardless of their status, I don't want a guy to mess up their long term prospects just because they pick up a belt for money. Wilder is getting to a sink or swim point though, and if he wants the big money he will have to really step out in the pool.

That moment you think having a high IQ actually makes someone intelligent, and I'm pretty sure the IQ score doesn't go to unlimited.

I'm starting to wonder if he is more of a bob sanders type. Goes to hard for his body to handle. I might be mistaken but hasn't he got hurt in his last 2 fights?

yes he did. but I am wondering how they describe these injuries. there are many ways to break a hand or rupture the tendons which I did 3 times to each hand. some never heal others good in a few months. maybe he got a tiny tear in bicep could not have been like mine

Just reading all those posters asking people to be patient with him because he is a slow growth or whatever that meant, and then still making excuses for him even doe he has a belt. I didn’t see them making those slow growth excuses for Joshua.

This is why I said most of these “Boxing fans” are more of a nationality fans, if the guy is carrying the same passport as them then yeah let’s not say anything that might seem negative towards him. But if any other boxers are in the same boat as him, then let’s highlight it and call him a duck.
