NEW YORK Deontay Wilder wants to find out how his surgically repaired right hand and right biceps respond in a real boxing match before facing a top heavyweight. That's why he picked Poland's Andrzej Wawrzyk as his next opponent, and then Gerald Washington once Wawrzyk failed a pre-fight test for a performance-enhancing drug. The 6-feet-7, 225-pound Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs) is a 16-1 favorite over the 6-6, 245-pound Washington (18-0-1, 12 KOs), a 34-year-old former USC football player who didn't make his pro debut until 4 years ago.
