      Andrei Mikhailovich:
As a surprise to you was the message of a positive doping sample Alexander Povetkin?

      Ryabinsky:
This is a very difficult question about the positive doping tests, because there meldonium concentration is very low - 72 ng. This is much less than 1 microgram. The only question is how this is now the WBC will carefully treat. Meldonium - a very specific drug. It is not clear how it works and how much time is displayed in full. The fact that it took Sasha - this is no secret, but he did it in September last year, when he was officially allowed. In fact it turns out a very specific situation. Man has always used the drugs only permitted, but now he has obtained positive test, and the remnants meldonium are banned drug. What to do in this situation?

      Andrei Mikhailovich:
Has this year other tests that gave Povetkin? It detects whether there is this drug?

      Ryabinsky:
He spent the last battle in the last year, so there was no need to take a sample at the beginning of the year. Accordingly, we passed four doping test before this fight, and one of these samples was found meldonium

He passed 4 previous tests for this fight. So was he using this as a masking agent for another drug?

Actually, its former legality is absolutely at the crux of the matter.

Athletes do and take all sorts of things to gain an edge in performance. There's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's the legality of the performance enhancers that's the thing.

Meldonium was legal up until the beginning of this year. If Povetkin's team can prove that the trace amounts are within the range of the predicted half life of the drug following the date of its ban then there's really no problem here.

If the picture is already saved to your computer, there's no URL. You have to upload the image to an image hosting site like and it will give you a URL.

                  Simple and plain.
If it was 70 nanograms, he did not fail the test.

Starting to wonder if this is one guy with several accounts.

NO they didn't. Here's the article:

"Cases where the concentration is below 1 µg/ml and the test was taken before 1 March 2016 are compatible with an intake prior to January 2016. "
                    And here's another part:

If the concentration is below 1 µg/ mL and the test was taken after 1 March given that the results of ongoing excretion studies are needed to determine the time of the ingestion
