BTW, this fight has had plenty of chances of happening with Haymon and Team Stevenson being on board. Guess what? Duva walked away twice
At some point you should ask yourself, WTF is Kovalev and GGG still signing these exclusive contracts with HBO when PBC/Haymon has the better roster of fighters who are making the more $$ on average.
1. Kovalev non draw
2. Stevenson weak draw at home in boxing mecca Montreal. Non champs Bute and Pascal smoke him at the gate
3. Pathetic ratings for Stevenson since leaving HBO.

Showtime inquired about participating; if HBO was unwilling to share in the actual PPV take, why couldn't the replay of the PPV be offered to Showtime? Michel wasn't demanding that SHO be involved; he just wanted to see if the broadcaster, who backed Stevenson, could still get a piece of the biggest fight that Adonis Stevenson is likely to have.

Kovalev fought Hopkins & Pascal. Stevenson has not secured a fight with Kovalev, Hopkins, or Pascal. That tells you everything you need to know. His boss's attempts to monopolize boxing has done just the opposite, & left him on the outside looking in.

If you can defend GGG vs Lemieux PPV, which I'm sure you did, without a shadow of a doubt, Stevenon - Kov does more PPV's than GGG-Lem.
Stevenson is not a weak draw at home.
BTW, Duva, HBO, MGM all agreed to make this event PPV. What they couldn't agree on was to share the broadcast with Showtime.
It's a PPV.
Why you continue to use illogical rationale to dismiss some of the best fights in boxing is beyond me. Maybe it's time to you find another sport.
You can go to WWE and get on one of their forums and do what you do here all day. Stay away from the rest of us who want the best fights in boxing.Last edited by Chollo Vista; 01-28-2016, 09:39 PM.

Whatever Stevenson did in the past to stop this fight, Kovalev's side has done even more now.

Why would this do better than those 2? Stars sell Ppvs. Neither guy is near the star Ggg is. And yes, Stevenson is a poor draw for Canada's only champ

THAT was a MASSIVE failure.
The other massive failure is you who call anyone that challenges the status quo of failed fights in boxing "dumb".
The only one that advocates the best fights not happening in boxing is you. Why don't you take this crap over to the WWE forum?Last edited by Chollo Vista; 01-28-2016, 09:57 PM.
