Duva did everything right to make this fight possible, and has spent every moment since destroying it. Damn her to all the possible hells, and damn Kovalev if he doesn't step the **** up and make her stop.

Whatever Stevenson did in the past to stop this fight, Kovalev's side has done even more now.

People are sick of Chickenson. He even denied Quebecers the Pascal fight, which would have been huge in Montreal. He'd rather fight the Karpencys of the sport.

BTW, this fight has had plenty of chances of happening with Haymon and Team Stevenson being on board. Guess what? Duva walked away twice

At some point you should ask yourself, WTF is Kovalev and GGG still signing these exclusive contracts with HBO when PBC/Haymon has the better roster of fighters who are making the more $$ on average.
Not to mention Krusher can't sell on his own always have to fight in guys own backyard Stevenson would of been bringing in all the money like it or not and ppl don't even take that into consideration so if he wants showtime involved in some type of capacity to bring in more money HBO and duva should of been willing to especially considering how small they boxing budget is

Just remember this, Stevenson left Duva & HBO to AVOID a fight with Kovalev so he could cash in with Haymon fighting the likes of Karpency. That's how it is.
Yep, but before he left he allowed his team to waste lots of time negotiating with Kov as if he ever intended to fight, when he knew he was jumping ship to Showtime.

So again, if Stevenson wanted the fight - and it seems like he did - and Duva made him a fair offer, then why mess it up by trying to get Showtime involved?

Could that have been Al Haymon's input, I'm wondering?
No idea. With Stevenson-Alvarez, Stevenson-Fonfara 2, and a possible Stevenson-Beterbiev fight all likely for PPV in Canada (with the first two being his likely immediate next fights), Showtime is likely carrying the US rights.

Though Showtime isn't threatening to bar GYM from the channel for taking the fight (which is the vibe that Duva seems to think she's getting from HBO), it still makes business sense, for everyone involved, to make sure that things are still good with Espinoza. Showtime isn't demanding that they be included in the event; they just wanted to see if they could also get a piece of Stevenson's biggest fight.

If HBO wants to keep the entire PPV share, what's the harm in, like with the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Showtime and HBO still sharing the re-air rights for the fight?

He's going to waste as much time with bums as possible, and when Haymon senses his time is running out he finally put him in with a real fighter, and will get starched.

Same BS Haymon did with Quillin.

Just wasting our time. At least fans were smart enough to recognize Jacobs/Quillin wasn't a big fight the way those 2, Haymon, and Showtime thought it would be.

Showtime even did an All Access for it, hahaha.

This is interesting. GYM says they'll do HBO only if they offer a license fee instead of PPV.

I immediately knew who was the blame here by the amount of views and replies.

People don't like to hear that it was actually the fought of someone from HBO, if not HBO. No, they just want to sit around repeating "It's Haymon's fault. Quack Quack. Haymon fighters are banned from HBO, etc, etc", without taking the time to corroborate stories.

Haymon and Team Stevenson were all on board for a joint promotion. They would fight on HBO and just cut Showtime a piece of the pie. But noooo!

At some point, people have to ask the question, if PBC/Haymon has all the top fighters and on average making all the money, WTF are Kovalev and GGG still doing with HBO and why are they continuously signing these exclusive contracts that only allows them to fight a small selection of fighters?

Smarten up boys. Go where the $$$ is and the better fighters are.

Doesn't take rocket science to figure this out.

Finally, someone who makes sense. I swear Triple GGG, and Kov hate those exclusive contracts now.

Kovalev should take the lost of 55-45 or 60-40. Why should Stevenson take the lost he's doesn't have an exclusive contract to fight on 1 network.

This is a business, why won't HBO agree to a both networks showing the fight.
Just like if kovalev didn't have the exclusive contract with HBO and Showtime laid out the same deal do you think Showtime would allow HBO to get involved? of course not. If Kovalev didn't have an exclusive deal and Showtime had the offer that they wanted HBO would be assed out.

Stevenson would make 50-50 on the money. no 55-45 or 60-40. i have read 10 articles on here the split is 50-50 down the middle but duva say she won't do 50-50 if fight doesn't happen now since stevensons career has stalled. Stevenson should take the 2-3 mil guarantee and win or lose he is free afterwards to fight where ever
