I always get a little frustrated at Canelo because I always want to see him bully guys and make fights ugly but he prefers to try to be a slick boxer more often than not. He definitely has his moments but to me he thinks he's Ray Leonard or something, which he definitely is not. That's also a big reason why Floyd took him to the cleaners. had he approached the Floyd fight like Maidana who knows what could have happened.

But what's interesting is that everything Canelo does that historically has made me annoyed- would probably work really well against GGG. I think Canelo might even have more speed as well. It's a very close fight.

Honestly, I don't even know that anybody gets KO'd if Canelo and GGG fight each other.

Would be a hell of a fight to see though.

I think GGG of the 2 would have the better chance of a KO. Canelos feet are still somewhat stationary. The size was very key in this fight. Even with that Cotto was able to make Canelo think twice about going to the body.

Anyways, if Canelo's reason not to want to face GGG at the REAL middleweight limit, 160, is that GGG has a vast experience in such weight and he feels 100% comfortable in it, while Canelo has zero experience and confidence fighting in that weight limit, why not fight Lemieux first, at 160, to test the waters, paying GGG a "step aside" fee or whatever that's called?

Lemieux would be an excellent test for Canelo, to see if he really has a chin (and a stomach) or not, since Lemieux did actually stun GGG a few times, the rare times he was able to actually hit him clean.

So, Canelo vs. Lemieux for Cinco de Mayo 2016 and then, in case Canelo wins "convincingly" (knock out or at least a knock down in his favor) then GGG vs. Canelo on Mexico's Independence Day weekend (by mid-September 2016).

In the meantime, GGG could destroy that big-mouthed Lara guy, who showed how a coward he is vs. Canelo, and now is opening his mouth again saying he can defeat GGG, just as he thinks he did Canelo, by jabbing like a coward all fight long and never engaging even once. I would really like to see this Cuban bigmouth trying to hide from Golovkin and failing at it.

Those three fights would be interesting, wouldn't they?
I love this scenario as well. Let Canelo get his first fight at 160 vs Lemieux which is no easy fight, and Lara get his mouth shut vs Glovkin since he wants that so bad, and if Canelo wins he can fight GGG in Sept.

I see nothing wrong with that scenario at all. Let Canelo get at least 1 fight at middleweight instead of him going straight to GGG his first fight. Lemieux is a great test at middleweight going into a GGG fight. It would give hi some idea what to expect at the weight and help better prepare him for GGG.

People aren't gonna like that because the haters wanna see GGG kill him right away but if it happens at the end of the year big deal, also gives a like opponent to guage off of.

Canelo won boxing, not using his weight, dude.

Cotto missed 500 punches of 620...

All the experts and media of Puerto Rico:

          "Canelo won the fight".

TV Azteca hates Canelo. They have a great lack of objectivity.

He didn't overwhelm or finish cotto, but he did deny him any ability to take control of the fight with power shots.

Canelo may now be a little sharper than he's been, but

-- He will never get in the ring with Golovkin.

            Ain't. Gonna. Happen.

He's a little bit smaller than GGG, and there's no way he should move up to 160 only to fight the guy who is by miles and miles the best MW in the world.

"155" is Spanish for "I'm not fighting you ever."

And you know this based on what? Who do you think GGG is, that Canelo isn't? I'll bet you ALL of your points that Canelo gets in the ring with GGG. You sound like a biased GGG fan or know it all. Canelo isn't Floyd Mayweather. He is a true throw back fighter and has proven that over and over again. You are disrespectful to the type of fighter/man that Canelo is.

We saw when they fought that Canelo isn't Floyd.

Says the guy with my boy Cotto as his avatar. Grow up and face reality. Cotto fought his heart out and IS an improved fighter under Roach. FACTS. His level of fitness, toughness, will, and chin were in full effect on Saturday BUT he lost. He's my boy as well. My hat goes off to Canelo for proving he belongs with the ELITE.

Proof that Fraud "Joke Coach" Pedcheater Sr is an inferior trainer and inferior human than Freddie "trainer of the century" Roach.

No doubt, but if you're trying to imply size had nothing to do with it then that's just your own bias. All I was saying was Cotto did better than what the official scorecards read.

Canelo cuts down to 155 and Cotto walks around at it.

I'm not throwing shade on Canelo's performance, just commenting on what I saw. Canelo was noticeably bigger.
