Canelo Has Improved

Canelo Has Improved in all facets of his boxing skills since he was schooled by Floyd a few years back

Canelo stamina has improved fight by fight.
I haven't seen him look so fresh in the final 3 rounds as he did against Cotto

I think Canelo moves up to Middleweight fully but doesn't GGG first
I think he either fights the winner of Andy Lee/Saunders or gets David Lemeuix

Canelo has always been the hunter in his fights. Always fighting boxers such as Mayweather, Lara, Trout, and Cotto
But he has never had his chin truly tested to me. GGG is a hunter and had Tyson power in both hands. GGG IS A WHOLE OTHER MONSTER

His Stamina is still somewhat of a issue. Seeing him in the fight I noticed there were times he could have had Cotto out of there. He didn't but I am not sure if it was because he was so so keen on not letting Cotto land the left hook. But he is still not throwing multiple combinations.

His defense has improved alot!

The size difference between Canelo and Cotto was very significant, Cotto couldn't do anything to make Canelo think twice despite landing good shots with consistency.

I always get a little frustrated at Canelo because I always want to see him bully guys and make fights ugly but he prefers to try to be a slick boxer more often than not. He definitely has his moments but to me he thinks he's Ray Leonard or something, which he definitely is not. That's also a big reason why Floyd took him to the cleaners. had he approached the Floyd fight like Maidana who knows what could have happened.

But what's interesting is that everything Canelo does that historically has made me annoyed- would probably work really well against GGG. I think Canelo might even have more speed as well. It's a very close fight.

Honestly, I don't even know that anybody gets KO'd if Canelo and GGG fight each other.

Would be a hell of a fight to see though.
